After a nice, big dinner (or at 10AM… you’re on vacation!), you’ll need some dessert! But, let’s face it, Disney’s almost ENDLESS supply of treats and snacks can seem a little overwhelming!
That’s where YOU come in! We asked our readers on Facebook what their favorite dessert is in Disney World, and we got a TON of responses! From there, we narrowed it down to the top 25 best desserts in Disney World. Did your vote make the list? Let’s take a look!
1. Dole Whip
No surprise here; Disney is pretty famous for its Dole Whip! This was the #1 response, proving that Dole Whip continues to be one of Disney’s most popular desserts. You can’t go wrong with the classics!
As you’ll notice with most of the items on this list, many of our readers tend to prefer simple desserts more than Disney’s over-the-top treats. Although those wild cupcakes are pretty, we didn’t count too many votes for them!

2. Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake
Our readers have spoken: Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake, served at Liberty Tree Tavern and The Diamond Horsehoe, is a fan favorite!
If you’re unfamiliar with this cult classic, Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake is made with vanilla toffee cake, chocolate sauce, and vanilla ice cream. Like we said, simple, but popular.
A Boozy Disney World Cupcake?! Yes, Please.
3. Grapefruit Cake
Our next most popular dessert among our readers comes from The Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Grapefruit cake has been around FOREVER, but it still managed to crack the top three! Now that’s impressive!
You can even find a fun little homage to the iconic Grapefruit Cake in The Hollywood Brown Derby guestbook — complete with a hidden Mickey!

4. Cinnamon Roll
People LOVE the Cinnamon Roll served at Gaston’s Tavern. Although this little quick service location is tucked away pretty deep in Fantasyland, there are some popular desserts here! Even the controversial Turkey Leg is currently being served at Gaston’s Tavern.
If this colossal dessert is too much for you to handle in one sitting, ask a Cast Member for a to go box and then ask for a bag in the Bonjour! Village Gifts shop next door. That way, you won’t have to carry a box around all day.

5. Bread Pudding
‘Ohana Bread Pudding received a BUNCH of votes from our readers. This bread pudding is served with homemade caramel sauce, which we think makes it a little extra special.
The House of Blues and Raglan Road’s bread puddings also received some votes, but ‘Ohana’s bread pudding remains the champion.

6. School Bread
Head to Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in EPCOT’s Norway pavilion for the next fan-favorite: School Bread!
While the character topping changes from time to time, the school bread itself has remained the same, and for good reason! Our DFB reporters AND readers agree that School Bread is one of Disney World’s best desserts.

7. Pineapple Lumpia
While everyone can agree on School Bread, people tend to be a little more torn when it comes to Pineapple Lumpia. Nevertheless, this interesting dessert served at Pongu Pongu in Disney’s Animal Kingdom made the list of Disney’s best desserts, so it can’t be that bad! (According to our readers, anyway!)
If you’re wondering what the heck that spring roll-looking thing is, it’s basically a sweet spring roll stuffed with pineapple cream cheese. The name doesn’t reveal much, as you can see.
We Went Backstage in Disney’s Animal Kingdom for…Lumpia?
8. LeFou’s Brew
We told you — Gaston’s Tavern is a hit with our readers! Despite what you may assume based on the name, LeFou’s Brew is actually frozen apple juice made with a hint of toasted marshmallow and topped with all-natural passion fruit-mango foam.
Do you think Gaston gives a cut of the profits to LeFou? Somehow, we don’t think so.

9. Fried Wontons
This next dessert doesn’t get talked about quite as often as some of the other desserts on the list, but it still received quite a few votes! These aren’t just any Fried Wontons, though. They consist of fresh pineapple and cream cheese, pineapple chunks, vanilla ice cream, and a honey-vanilla drizzle.
You can find these sweet wontons at the Yak and Yeti restaurant in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

If you’re an Orange Bird fan, you probably understand the hype surrounding the Citrus Swirl served in Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom. If the pineapple Dole Whip isn’t your thing, you might like the orange version instead!
The Citrus Swirl dessert is served at Sunshine Tree Terrace. Look around the corner of this little location to find an orange bird mural that makes an excellent photo-op! Do note: Citrus Swirls have not been available for some time and we are anxiously awaiting their return. Follow the DFB newsletter for the latest information on this beloved treat.

13. Nutella Fruit Waffle
Whoever created the Nutella Fruit Waffle at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments deserves a raise. It’s so simple that we’re mad we didn’t think of it ourselves. Either way, this was another popular dessert with our readers, and we have to agree with them!
There’s something about the combination of a warm, fresh waffle with berries and chocolatey Nutella that really hits the spot during a day in the Magic Kingdom.

14. Churros
Disney serves many variations of churros all over the parks, and we received votes for the classic Disney churros, the house-made Nomad Lounge churros, and the little churro bites. Do you have a preference or do you love them all?
As you may have noticed, some of the churros served in Magic Kingdom got a little 50th Anniversary upgrade; select churros are now served in an adorable Dumbo peanuts bag!

15. Mickey Ice Cream Bar
We’ve got another classic, folks! What can we say, people love those iconic Disney treats, and they aren’t afraid to admit it!
Our only grievance with Mickey Ice Cream Bars is that they always melt so quickly! If an experienced Disney food engineer could fix that, we would really appreciate it.

16. Chocolate Mousse
Coming up next, we’ve got Chocolate Mousse. As we get to item #16 on the list, we’ve finally got a nice, chocolatey dessert to share! Disney tends to rotate their chocolate mousse desserts each season, but there’s pretty much always some variation of chocolate mousse somewhere in the parks.
As of writing, you can find a Raspberry-dark chocolate mousse at the ABC Commissary in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Follow the DFB newsletter to get more up to date details on the new treats in the parks!

Yes, you could probably make this at home, but it will never be the same as a Disney Krispie Treat! Do the ears hold the key to the superior flavor? Is it the chocolate? Who knows!
Either way, our readers made sure to show their support for the humble Mickey Krispie Treat.

19. Dad’s Favorite Chocolate-Peanut Butter Layered Cake
Of course, this cake made the list — favorite is in the name! You can find the Chocolate Peanut Butter Layered Cake at the 50s Prime Time Cafe restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. When you take chocolate and peanut butter and put them together in a cake, you’ve automatically got a winner on your hands. Dare we say peanut butter + chocolate is the best combination of all time?
While you’re at it, order a Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake, too!

20. Kakamora Float
We’ve got another tropical dessert to share; this time it’s the Kakamora Float from Aloha Isle! Is anyone else obsessed with the little Kakamora pirate faces? They’re so cute!
This is one of the more interesting desserts on the list. It’s made with coconut soft-serve on top of pineapple juice and blue Curacao then garnished with a chocolate Kakamora cake pop. You wouldn’t think that combination of flavors would work, but it does. Sadly, this Moana-inspired treat has disappeared from the menu at Aloha Isle, but this has happened before, so keep checking back!

Personally, we think that more desserts should be pink. It’s such a fun color!

Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ restaurant may be known for fried chicken, but that doesn’t mean you should forget about the Hummingbird Cake!
This cake is pretty famous! The dessert is a pineapple-banana cake with cream cheese frosting served with a seasonal fruit gastrique and a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. Doesn’t that sound amazing?
