It’s never a dull day in Disney World, especially when things are constantly changing!
This week, EPCOT’s 2022 Flower and Garden Festival began, and after eating our way around the World Showcase, we stopped to reflect on a few surprising changes in Disney World this week. Let’s go over them!
Cinderella Meet and Greet Change
Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom has had some character changes in the last few years. Before the pandemic, Disney Princesses would greet each table while guests were dining, but afterward, only Cinderella would make a brief appearance in the restaurant, without stopping by each individual table.
On a visit we made this week, we found Cinderella greeting guests in the lobby of the restaurant! You can take photos and have a very brief interaction from a distance before your meal, but not after.
As far as we know, this is currently the ONLY way to see Cinderella during your experience at Cinderella’s Royal Table. When we visited, she no longer made a brief appearance in the dining area. So make sure you see her BEFORE you go upstairs to eat, but keep in mind that things change constantly in Disney World!

Spaceship Earth Beacon of Magic
The 2022 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival kicked off this week, and Spaceship Earth debuted a NEW light sequence for the festival! The new show is synced to “Colors of the Wind” from Pocahontas, and it features lots of springtime and earth tone colors in honor of the festival theme.
You can watch our video to see the show in action! Try not to sing too loudly to “Colors of the Wind.”

The show plays frequently throughout the evening, so you can catch it nightly during the Flower and Garden Festival, from March 2nd to July 4th.
