Lion King fans, get ready. We’ve got some MAJOR news for you!

When Disney World’s “Festival of the Lion King” show reopened with the parks in 2020, it had some pretty major changes. For one thing, it was re-named “A Celebration of Festival of the Lion King.” And more importantly, a couple of big acts were missing from the show completely! Now, we just got word that one of our FAVORITE parts of this show is returning soon!
The “Festival of the Lion King” is an amazing show with different acts, featuring fire dancers, singers, and parade floats. But one of the most iconic parts of this spectacular show is the Tumble Monkeys!

will be returning this summer to the Festival of the Lion King!

These monkeys perform incredible gymnastics tricks to the song “Hakuna Matata,” all while doing their best to annoy Timon, who is trying to steal the show.
Tumble Monkeys
The Tumble Monkeys were one of the acts that didn’t return with the show in 2020, but Disney just revealed that they’ll be BACK sometime this summer! In a TikTok video, DisneyParks showed one of them coating their hands in chalk to get ready for the big event!

We don’t have an exact date for their return, but we’ll be on the lookout for more details! In the meantime, please excuse us — we need to go sing “Hakuna Matata” at the top of our lungs to celebrate this happy announcement.
