Disneyland Is Bringing Back a Perk That Could CHANGE How You Shop in the Parks

Disneyland shared a LOT of big news this morning about some upcoming projects, like a Pixar-themed makeover of Paradise Pier Hotel, a few new restaurants coming to Downtown Disney, and more. But if you didn’t read their announcement carefully, you might have missed one MAJOR update!

Emporium

This update might change how you shop for souvenirs during your upcoming Disneyland vacation, so take a look to make sure you’re prepared with the latest information.

Before the pandemic closures, Disneyland and Disney World offered a free service called Merchandise Pick-up and Delivery. With this service, you could send your purchases back to your hotel as soon as you bought them! Instead of carrying a bag around the parks with you all day long, you could buy a souvenir, ask to have it delivered, and collect it once you arrived back at the hotel.

Merchandise Delivery hasn’t returned since the parks reopened in 2020, but now we’ve finally got an update on this convenient service! Disney has said that guests staying at Disneyland Resort hotels will once again be able to send “select theme park purchases” to their hotel for pick-up.

This perk should return later this summer, although we don’t have a specific return date yet. Once delivery and pick-up are back, you’ll be able to shop as early in the day as you want without the worry that you’ll have to carry around your purchases all day.
