EPCOT

• The construction walls came down around Connections Café and Eatery, allowing us to get a sneak peek inside through the many large windows.
• The construction walls have come down around Connections Café and Eatery at EPCOT, and now the Café side has opened. Connections Café is the new permanent Starbucks location in the park, and the temporary Traveler’s Cafe has already closed.
• Connections Café has opened at EPCOT as the park’s new Starbucks location, and we were first in line to get some coffee. We also grabbed one of the new liege waffles.
• Connections Café and Eatery will officially open at EPCOT next Wednesday, April 27, 2022.
• We ventured out tonight to EPCOT to see if we could get another look at the new Connections Cafe & Eatery, which officially opens on April 27, 2022. Luckily, we were successful and got a chance to try the new Bahn Mi Burger and Apple Pie Gelato Shake tonight!
• Inspired by the life-giving waters of the fictional planet Xandar, the Cast Member costumes for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind were created with sustainability in mind.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

• Guests can now checkout using the My Disney Experience app in Discovery Trading Company at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

• Following a video of a child being rescued from the top of the pyramid near the Dig Site Pool at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, the feature now has a net and a “no climbing” sign.

Other Walt Disney World News

• After the Florida Senate voted in favor of dissolving the Reedy Creek Improvement District of Walt Disney World yesterday, the Florida House of Representatives approved the bill.

Disneyland Resort

• Disney treated us to a surprise this evening with a preview showing of the Main Street Electrical Parade before its official return this Friday, April 22. The performance tonight was broadcast live, but we were there in person to get photos and video to share with you.
• The beloved “Disneyland Forever” fireworks spectacular has finally returned to the skies for a soft open performance this evening, ahead of its official return on Friday, April 22. Luckily, we were on hand to capture the first performance.
• A National Geographic photo op has been erected next to the Grizzly Peak waterfall at Disney California Adventure.
• Three more items from EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion are now available at the Disneyland Resort. We found a “limoncello” kitchenware set, including a serving tray and four mugs, as well as a “limoncello” shirt and crossbody purse.
• Fans of the Pixar film “Inside Out” can brighten their day with a new windbreaker we found at Disney Showcase on Main Street, U.S.A., in Disneyland Park!
• A recent survey sent out to guests who attended the 2022 Food & Wine Festival at Disney California Adventure indicates that Disney is considering offering child care services.
• If you’re looking for a sparkly way to carry your essentials around Disneyland, look no further than this lovely new pink belt bag we spotted at Disney Showcase in Disneyland Park!
• A new black and purple mug themed to the oft-overlooked, but no less heroic Avenger Hawkeye has landed at Disney California Adventure! Specifically, we found this stylish new mug and spoon combo at Stage 17 in Hollywood Land.

Disneyland Paris

• After almost two years of construction, Disneyland Paris has begun operating the first section of their solar canopy plant — just in time for Earth Day.

Hong Kong Disneyland

• Hong Kong Disneyland reopened today, April 21, after closing in January due to a spike in COVID-19 cases.
• Hong Kong Disneyland has reopened, which means guests can once again sneak a peek at the construction of Arendelle: World of Frozen. HKDL Fantasy shared several photos on Twitter today.

Entertainment and Media

• A new LEGO “Star Wars” Landspeeder set, including Luke Skywalker and C-3PO Minifigures, is speeding into stores and LEGO.com next month.
• Kelly Marie Tran and Billie Lourd will appear at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022.
• Pixar has released another trailer and poster for “Lightyear,” which will be in theaters on June 17, 2022.

The Walt Disney Company

• David H. Wright III has been promoted to the head of casting and talent relations at Disney Television Animation, Variety reports.
