This past week we took a quick trip out to Universal Orlando! Join us as we check out some updates around Islands of Adventure, get a first look at some Halloween Horror Nights Preview merchandise, and grab some food out in CityWalk!
UPDATES AT ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE
As we made our way around the lagoon, we noticed several changes to attractions in both Seuss Landing and Lost Continent! While Caro-Seuss-el is currently down for refurbishment, we were happy to see that Poseidon’s Fury has finally reopened! This attraction temporarily closed in August of 2020, and finally reopened on March 14th. While there were rumors of a major overhaul, only minor improvements were implemented into the attraction.
HHN PREVIEW MERCHANDISE
As we made our way away from the Temple of Poseidon, we decided to check out the All Hallow’s Eve Boutique! This store boasts a wide variety of merchandise celebrating all things spooky. We were surprised to see a new shirt ($35) and specialty ornament ($20) for this year’s event! Both the ornament and shirt were very similar in design, with a bloody handprint and the tagline “Never Go Alone”. This year’s Halloween Horror Nights will take place on select nights from Sept. 2nd through Oct. 31st 2022. While we haven’t received any House, Scarezone, or show announcements yet, seeing the first bit of merchandise is an exciting start to the season!
HOT DOG HALL OF FAME
On our way out of the park we decided to make a quick stop for a bite to eat at Hot Dog Hall of Fame! This quick-service restaurant is a great choice for a quick and affordable meal before or after hitting the parks. We ended up going with the Milwaukee Dog, which was a bratwurst sausage on a hoagie roll, with grilled onions and spicy brown mustard. This hot-dog was absolutely delicious and was very flavorful. If you’re a hot-dog lover, definitely check out this spot on your next visit. This was a great choice to end the day, and we can’t wait for our next visit back to Universal!
