To ensure we are equipping our readers with all the information they need, we will continue to report on all travel, safety, and COVID-related news that could impact a Disney Parks visit.
Over the past year and then some, Disney World has dealt with ever-changing health and safety guidelines in order to best keep guests safe.
Up until recently, face coverings were still required for Disney World guests on buses and monorails — but that has now changed. Disney recently announced during the middle of the day that face masks are no longer required on any transportation in Disney World beginning immediately, and they’re notifying guests via push notification!
Disney World updated its face mask policy in the middle of the day today to state that face coverings are “optional for Guests in both outdoor and indoor locations, as well as Disney transportation.”
This change comes after a federal judge in Florida struck down the CDC’s mask mandate extension. Guests who were currently in Disney World were notified via a push notification on their cell phones when a notification popped up on the My Disney Experience app.
The information went on to include the updated mask policy, stating that face coverings are now “optional for guests” but “recommended for guests who are not fully vaccinated in indoor locations and enclosed transportation.”
We’re continuing to keep an eye on Disney’s response to current health and safety guidelines, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more!
