Limited-Time CHANGES Come to an Underrated Disney World Experience

Disney’s Animal Kingdom is definitely the epicenter of Earth Day festivities at Walt Disney World!

Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

The park famously opened on Earth Day in 1998 and continues to promote conservation and animal welfare to this day. As the month of April kicks off and Earth Day approaches, guests at the park can find a special feature at one of the park’s sometimes overlooked experiences!

The Animation Experience is a hands-on, learn-to-draw program located at Rafiki’s Planet Watch in Animal Kingdom. There are several 25-minutes classes scattered throughout the day, and lately, participants have been coached on drawing one of the Fab Five — Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, or Pluto. However, in honor of Earth Day, participants can learn to draw different endangered animals during the month of April!

Endangered Animals at Animation Experience

According to the Cast Member we spoke to, you just might get the chance to draw the likes of Bruce (the great white shark from Finding Nemo), Shere Khan (the tiger from The Jungle Book), Crush (the sea turtle from Finding Nemo), Simba, Terk (the gorilla from Tarzan), Dumbo, or Heimlich (the caterpillar from A Bug’s Life)!

So much fun!

There are classes in the morning and the afternoon, so be sure to check the schedule on your My Disney Experience app and get on the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch 40 minutes prior to start time.
