Love is Universal Merchandise, Minion Popcorn Bucket Back in Stock, Low Crowds, and More: Universal Orlando Resort Photo Report 4/16/22

Greetings from the Universal Orlando Resort! It’s a beautiful Saturday, and we’re excited to be here, so let’s get going and head over to Islands of Adventure first.

We stopped to take in the beauty of Islands of Adventure and spotted the most adorable baby duckling hanging out near the submarine.

Theme park ducks are a gift. We get so much joy watching them in the parks.

Spooky! Poseidon’s Fury is quite foggy first thing in the morning. It might not smell like HHN around here, but it’s still fun to play in the fog.

There was a rough start to the day here at Islands of Adventure, with Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure and VelociCoaster experiencing delays.

Over at Universal Studios Florida, we were surprised to find such low crowds for a holiday weekend.

Wait times around the park were surprisingly low. Transformers was only at a 40-minute wait, and Despicable Me: Minion Mayhem was only 45 minutes.

Beautiful weather and low crowds make the best combination.

The Minion popcorn bucket has been restocked. They seem to sell out quickly, so make sure you grab one if you have a chance!

What did we do to deserve such a perfect day in the parks?

Only a 35-minute wait for the Hogwarts Express in the middle of the day? That’s almost unheard of on a Saturday.

A brand new “Love is Universal” collection has rolled out across the resort. You can see our complete guide with prices here.

Thanks for joining us around the parks today. It’s been a busy day, but we’re getting out of here. Stay tuned for more updates from the Universal Orlando Resort and beyond!
