Rockwork Continues to Form at Journey of Water Inspired by ‘Moana’ in EPCOT

The first rocky structure at Journey of Water Inspired by “Moana” continues to take shape in the World Nature neighborhood of EPCOT.

The center of EPCOT remains a large construction zone as the new attraction is constructed and work continues on other projects like Dreamer’s Point.

The construction walls were recently moved further into the land and now block the nearby restrooms for refurbishment.

A curved wall is being turned into a small mountain, with steel forming the shape of rocks.

More elements have been added since we last checked in, expanding the rockwork.

Some scaffolding has been erected around the rockwork, too.

In the distance is a steel tower that was recently constructed, with a platform and short curved wall around it.

Small concrete pieces and supports are on the ground around the full structures.

Steel materials are staged nearby, and a large pipe is visible in a trench.

Next to another structure, the ground has been recently flattened where pipes extend from a wall into the ground.

This will be a walkthrough attraction with interactive water features.

A wooden railing leads into the next trench, where a large concrete structure is partially underground.

More wooden railings are around one edge of it, and scaffolding is in the center of it.

In the background, a small building has been painted a darker color and has scaffolding around it.

The white archway is where construction vehicles can enter the site at night.
