Groot at Disney California Adventure’s Avengers Campus
America Chavez is making her MCU debut in this film, a character who eventually becomes a member of the Young Avengers. Played by Xochitl Gomez, America brings an interesting aspect to the film as her powers include opening “star portals” that allow her to travel through Marvel’s Multiverse.
For a limited time beginning on May 6th, you might just be able to catch America Chavez at the Avengers Campus! Not only that, but the Scarlet Witch will also be making appearances for a limited time.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2017
Note that you do NOT need a separate theme park admission or theme park reservation to attend Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. All you’ll need is that ticket for the party itself, which will let you into the park as early as 4PM and let you stay through the end of the party at midnight.
Fireworks
There WILL be a special fireworks show offered during Not-So-Scary. Specifically, party guests will get to watch Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular, a Halloween-themed fireworks display which includes projections, special effects, special lighting, fireworks (of course), and Disney characters.
The fireworks display will actually be hosted by Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Not So Spooky Spectacular
This show debuted in 2019. In 2019, it featured a life-size puppet of Jack Skellington that realistically walked, talked, and scared folks like the true Pumpkin King!
Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular
During the fireworks, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy are swept away to a haunted house. There, they might just find dancing skeletons, ghosts, and Disney villains too!
The parade will once again start with the Headless Horseman riding his horse down Main Street, U.S.A. WE CANNOT WAIT!
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
You’ll then get to watch floats featuring Disney characters dressed in their very best Halloween outfits, see Disney villains “reign over a Fantasyland-inspired grand finale,” check out those iconic Haunted Mansion graveyard diggers, hitchhiking ghosts, and the “spectral Bride” (who will glide among “waltzing spirits”) in a Haunted Mansion section, watch as pirates sail in from Adventureland, and even dance around as Clarabelle hosts a square dance.
In terms of other entertainment, fans will also get to enjoy the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular! During this stage show, you’ll get to see the Sanderson Sisters call upon their fellow villains to create the ultimate Hocus Pocus Party Potion and cast a spell on YOU!
Be sure to watch for appearances from characters like Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, and Maleficent. There will also be dancers, projections, special effects, and more featured in the show.

Over at Storybook Circus, kids of all ages can “boogie down” at the Disney Junior Jam. Here, you’ll find some of your favorite characters from Disney Junior shows. This was a new addition back in 2018 and will be returning this year.

Of course, trick-or-treating will be available for all guests to enjoy. Disney has said that guests will be able to “roam the trick-or-treat trails” to grab all kinds of sweet treats. The candy available will include M&M’S, SKITTLES, SNICKERS, and other Halloween favorites.
If you have a food allergy, be sure to see a Cast Member and obtain a teal-colored bag. Disney has noted that those trick-or-treating with the teal bags will get a teal token at the treat stations. These can later be redeemed at the Allergy-Friendly Centers for special treats.
I WANT CANDY!
Disney has also shared that (NEW to the party this year) guests will get a “reusable trick-or-treat bag featuring a keepsake 50th Anniversary celebration and Halloween design.” We’ll be really interested to see what these reusable bags look like!
So Much Candy!
Also new to the party this year, as part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations there will be “event-exclusive step-in photo opportunities.”
Guests will also get a “Halloween-themed 50th Anniversary celebration commemorative print!”
Main Street, U.S.A.
And we can’t forget about the Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet! The Cadaver Dans will be back at it again, singing up some spooktacular tunes! You’ll generally find them over in Frontierland.

You’ll also want to watch for Disney characters in Halloween costumes throughout the park! Characters will be available for guests to take photos with during the party.

The photo shared on the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary website right now seems to feature 2 black Mickey waffles in a bowl with whipped cream, candy corn, and more, but Disney hasn’t explicitly confirmed that this will make an appearance at the party.
Throughout the party, PhotoPass photographers will be available to take your picture at a variety of spots “including Character experiences and locations with batty backdrops,” according to Disney.
There will also be Magic Shots available, including one featuring the grim grinning ghosts over at Magic Kingdom.

And what’s a new merchandise collection without a Loungefly bag? The Halloween Mickey and Friends Loungefly Mini Backpack features Mickey ears and a fun Halloween print you might recognize from the pajama set.
A Dancing Skeletons Zip-Up Jacket?? We’re obsessed. Disney is actually releasing an entire collection inspired by the classic Walt Disney’s Silly Symphonies short film, The Skeleton Dance.
Jack Skellington will also be part of the upcoming Halloween merchandise collection! There will be a Jack and Sally Crossbody Bag and Oogie Boogie Minnie Ears too.
And don’t worry Haunted Mansion fans, there will be something for you too! Peep this Haunted Mansion Knit Duster and Constance Hatchaway Backpack inspired by the murderous bride.
Most of this Halloween merchandise will be available in Disney World, Disneyland, and on shopDisney this fall, and we’ll be watching closely for an update! But if you’re ready to order some Halloween goodies now, there are four new books available for pre-order! The Hocus Pocus Spell Book is $11.99, scheduled for release on August 30th.
