Cast Member previews are underway for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT, and Disney has released a new video showing off the first reactions to the new attraction.

The video shows plenty of Cast Members showing their love for the ride, calling it “absolutely cosmic” and “smooth and out of this world.” There was also plenty of support for the Guardians, with many dressing up in outfits inspired by the characters seen in the attraction.

With bookings currently full for the first run of Cast Member previews, a second block of reservations is currently available for May 11-13, and May 22-24. Previews will also be held in May for D23 Gold Members, Disney Vacation Club members, and Walt Disney World Annual Passholders.

The next big step in TRON Lightcycle / Run’s race to the finish line is about to begin at the Magic Kingdom.

Disney has filed permits with the state of Florida to fabricate and install set pieces for the upcoming attraction, which is currently under construction. Just earlier today, we reported that the white canopy had been fully installed over the outdoor portion of the ride, which has undergone vehicle test runs.

No opening date has been announced, though it was revealed in January 2021 that the roller coaster wouldn’t debut during the park’s 50th anniversary year, suggesting that guests may not speed through The Grid until late 2022 at the earliest. But if sets are being “uploaded,” it’s a step in the right direction.

Some construction walls have been erected near Jurassic Park River Adventure in Universal’s Islands of Adventure, blocking the bridge between the rock climbing and hair braiding areas.

River Adventure remains open, having been refurbished early this year.

The walls are likely blocking a simple refurbishment of the area.
