Mousesteps shared this afternoon that Tiana and Naveen had replaced Belle and the Beast during the noon performance of Festival of Fantasy parade at Magic Kingdom. We checked on the 3:00 p.m. parade to see if it was the same story.
Indeed, Tiana and Naveen were still on the front of the first float, with Belle and the Beast nowhere to be seen.
We also noted in our earlier article that this float was updated before the parade returned last month. Belle, and later the Beast, have been appearing in the parade until today.
Tiana and Naveen usually appear at the back of the float, on a rotating piece with Anna and Elsa.
Cinderella and Prince Charming appear in the center of the float, also on a rotating piece.
Their rotating piece was functioning, showing Cinderella’s pink dress on the other side.
The final section of the float was not spinning today, leaving Anna and Elsa always facing backward.
No characters took Tiana and Naveen’s place on the other side of this spinning section, but it still resembles the New Orleans bayou, complete with Ray the firefly.
The exact reason for the switch is unknown. It’s possible the float is broken, and Disney opted to move Tiana and Naveen to the front rather than cut them, for the sake of inclusion. It may also be that no Belle and Beast performers were available for today’s performances. We will continue to check on the parade in the next few days, stay tuned for updates.

A new FCC filing gives us a closer look at the charging device and interior construction of the upcoming MagicBand+.
The pictures of the prototype show it next to a ruler. The photo above shows the USB charging cord. The band will attach to one end.
More photos show the interior of the MagicBand.
This new version of a MagicBand will interact with guests by providing light and haptic feedback from within the park.
After a guest enters a theme park, MagicBand+ will come alive at various times with color-changing lights, haptic vibrations and gesture recognition, enhancing the environment’s immersive storytelling. Several new 50th anniversary items have arrived at Walt Disney World as part of the EARidescent Shimmer collection.
The jersey is a muted blue color with the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary logo in gold on the left breast.
“Walt Disney World” and Mickey are in gold on the back.
This long-sleeved tee is the same blue color. It features Mickey on the front, his face, shorts, and shoes all EARidescent.
Behind Mickey is the outline of Cinderella Castle and “Walt Disney World” is below him.
This phone grip/stand is shaped like Mickey’s head and is made of shiny EARidescent material.
This is almost an exact replica of the adult Spirit Jersey, with the 50th anniversary logo on the front.
“Walt Disney World” and Mickey are on the back.
We found the adult jersey, tee, and phone grip in Star Traders at Magic Kingdom, but the youth Spirit Jersey in World of Disney at Disney Springs.
