- Characters have returned to the Frontierland Hoedown Happening, which happens at intervals throughout the day at Magic Kingdom.

Disney Springs
- Pele Soccer at Disney Springs is temporarily closed for an update.
- Salt & Straw, which just opened this month at Disney Springs, will have limited edition flavors available each month. Though we’re a few days away from May, they have already posted their May menu, and we tried some of the new flavors and we tried them all!
- The Disney Springs building that previously housed the NBA Experience will soon be home to a limited-time “Star Wars” virtual reality experience.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- Another Disney World housekeeper — who was at least the third employee to be arrested in an ongoing sting at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside — admitted to a string of thefts across several hotels, court documents show.
New Merchandise
- March into First Order Cargo in Disney’s Hollywood Studios to get this new 709th Legion sweatshirt. First Order Cargo is next to Kylo Ren’s ship at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
- A new Minnie ear headband featuring a rainbow veil and a butterfly bow has flown into Walt Disney World. We found it in Celebrity 5 & 10 in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
- Decorate your phone with this new PopGrip by PopSockets featuring Orange Bird, now available at Walt Disney World.
- A delicious new Minnie ear headband is now available at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter. These scented Loungefly ears are inspired by the Mickey beignets sold at the resort.
- We spotted the Mickey mummy at a snack cart on the west side of Disney Springs.
Other Walt Disney World News
- Florida Governor Ron DeSantis says, “we know what we are going to do” regarding the many questions surrounding the possible dissolution of Walt Disney World’s Reedy Creek Improvement District.
- Fitch Ratings, one of the “Big Three” credit rating agencies, has posted a statement regarding the attempted dissolution of Walt Disney World’s Reedy Creek Improvement District.
Disneyland Resort
- According to the Orange County Register, performances of Storytelling at the Royal Theatre will return to Fantasyland at Disneyland starting today, April 29.
- A Disneyland Resort version of the 50th anniversary EARidescent Shimmer Spirit Jersey is now available. We found it in Elias & Co. at Disney California Adventure.
- Lounge like a princess with this new tee and shorts outfit inspired by the Disney Princesses. It was in Disney Showcase at Disneyland.
- If you’re as hungry as a bear this spring, head over to Hungry Bear Restaurant in Disneyland Park for several seasonal offerings. New on the menu this year are the chili mac cheeseburger and peach honey tea slush. Everything else is returning from years past.
- Since the wish that inspired the founding of Make-A-Wish was granted on this day 42 years ago, Disney and Make-A-Wish have worked together to make more than 145,000 wishes come true, including the very first official wish, which took place at Disneyland Resort.
- Feel joyful in this new yellow dress inspired by “Inside Out.” It is available at World of Disney in Downtown Disney District.
- Celebrate graduation and Teacher’s Day with new pins available at Disneyland Resort, which we found alongside new Scarlet Witch and Floating Down Main Street pins. These were in 20th Century Music Co.
- While shopping at Disneyland today and saw this new WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure WEB Spirit Jersey! This top was at the Collectors Warehouse at Disney California Adventure.
- Hey Y’all! Check out this Miss Minutes plush that made its way into the Disneyland Resort. We found this at Backlot Premiere in the Downtown Disney District.
Tokyo Disney Resort
- It seems like Tokyo DisneySea’s 20th Anniversary “Time to Shine!” celebration is only just beginning in earnest with the upcoming “Shining With You” stage show kicking off April 1 and “Believe! Sea of Dreams” still set for an unknown date this year. Nonetheless, Tokyo Disney Resort has already revealed the merchandise it will release for the upcoming Grand Finale of the anniversary celebration starting June 1!
Entertainment and Media
- In a new featurette for “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” Kevin Feige, Sam Raimi, Elizabeth Olsen, and Benedict Cumberbatch discuss the different versions of Wanda that will appear in the film.
The Walt Disney Company
- Geoff Morrell is exiting The Walt Disney Company, less than four months after taking over as chief communications officer. Morrell took the role on January 24, 2022.
- Lin-Manuel Miranda, who wrote the original songs of “Encanto,” says Imagineers are developing an attraction based on the wildly successful film.
