Round up the gang and settle in for a little story — or should we say, a little Toy Story. Over in Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure, Toy Story Midway Mania draws some big lines and invites some fierce competition. (Seriously, getting the “Best in Vehicle” score is SO exciting) Every once in a while, though, the game goes awry and playtime is over sooner than expected.

Toy Story Midway Mania recently experienced some technical difficulties, and thanks to DFB reader Amanda, we can see a little peek of the evacuation in Disney California Adventure.

During an attraction evacuation, the lights come on and guests are typically asked to remain seated until a Cast Member comes to escort them off the attraction. In this case, a Cast Member came over to each ride vehicle to manually open the door.

Recently, we’ve been seeing some long wait times and attraction closures in both Disney World and Disneyland, so be prepared for technical difficulties; you never know when something might break down!

You can use the My Disney Experience app to see which rides are temporarily closed and find out when they reopen!
