Look; it’s the Easter Bunny. That can only mean one thing: Easter is here! Even if your home state hasn’t adjusted to the spring temperatures quite yet, you know it’s time for Easter when Disney World invites some famous holiday icons to the Magic Kingdom and starts selling bunny-shaped treats all over the place. (Seriously, there were SO.MANY. bunny desserts this year!)
Unfortunately, holidays tend to invite HUGE crowds of people to the parks and resorts. Like clockwork, right around most major holidays, the park pass reservation calendar fills up, the wait times shoot up, and the crowds arrive in full force. How are things looking in Disney World on Easter Sunday? Let’s take a look!
According to Disney World’s park pass reservation calendar, all four parks are at capacity from April 17th (Easter) to April 22nd. While Disney has not revealed just how many people it takes to reach full capacity, we do know that Disney is still self-restricting the number of guests allowed in each park.
We’ll start our crowd-cam photo tour at the Ticket & Transportation Center, which serves as a central hub for guests trying to visit both EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom. Unsurprisingly, we were greeted with a LONG line.
If you look closely, you’ll see that there are people stretched all the way across our photo — and we could’ve kept going! We hope these people weren’t in a hurry, because that line might take a while.
By the time we got to the Magic Kingdom, we found more people. The park entrance is a common spot for big crowds to form, and boy did we see CROWDS!
Inside the park, you can probably predict what we saw. There were long lines just to take a photo in front of the Cinderella Castle!
EPCOT was equally busy. Even Journey Into Imagination with Figment had a line out the door; THAT’S how you know it’s a busy day in Disney World. Yikes! On a major holiday, it’s almost impossible to escape the crowds. Even at the Figment attraction.
If you’re planning on visiting Disney World during a holiday or school break, be prepared to encounter a lot of people. We recommend taking breaks at your resort throughout the day to avoid crowd burnout. In the meantime, happy Easter! Stay tuned for all the latest Disney news and park updates.
