Disney Springs has tons of yummy spots to grab a bite, and now there’s one more you need to add to your food bucket list.
Salt & Straw is a unique ice cream shop that already has a location in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney where they serve up some super creative and unexpected ice cream flavors. It was announced a while ago that Disney Springs would be getting a location, and we have the biggest update yet!
Salt & Straw is officially open at Disney Springs! If you want to try their funky ice cream flavors, all you have to do is head to Springs.
Salt & Straw is located near the AMC Dine-In Theater, and the building has lots of unique ice cream details.
We saw the Salt & Straw co-founders Kim and Tyler Malek taking pictures with the crowd, and the ribbon was cut to open the store.
You can watch the ribbon cutting ceremony in our video below!

The crowd gathered in the queue area set up next to the building. It’s never too early for ice cream!
We were told that when the queue area fills, Salt & Straw will activate a virtual queue. You just need to check in with an employee outside the building to enter the virtual queue, and you’ll receive a text when it’s time for you to get in the line.
The first 100 customers today received a little spoon that they could use to redeem for a free scoop!
You can actually skip the line if you prefer to grab a pint of ice cream or even a side of waffle cones to go.
Inside, you can order your ice cream scoops at the counter. What flavor would you choose?
You can choose from a wide selection of ice cream pints in the freezer. Cinnamon Snickerdoodle? Yes, please.
There were also some souvenirs you could buy, like these Salt & Straw ice cream scoops.
We’ll give you a full review of everything we tried at Salt & Straw soon, so stay tuned to DFB for more!
