Rainy Day Fun At Disney World’s Magic Kingdom!

Rainy Day Fun At Disney World’s Magic Kingdom!

This past week we decided to make a trip out to Magic Kingdom! Because of the weather, we were able to take advantage of lower wait times and crowd levels. We were also able to experience the special Rainy Day Cavalcade, which gave us the opportunity to see lots of characters.  Join us as we try to stay dry for some rainy day fun!

RAINY DAY CAVALCADE

As we were entering the park at the top of the day, we were lucky enough to stumble upon the Rainy Day Cavalcade! This cavalcade features many fun Disney and Pixar characters such as Stitch, Marie, The Incredibles, Miguel, princesses, and many more! These characters will also be riding in style in some of the most iconic Main Street Vehicles. This cavalcade will be enjoyed by all members of the family, young or old!

The route for this cavalcade kicks off by Splash Mountain, traverses through Frontierland and Liberty Square, before making it’s way right down the middle of Main Street USA! Be sure to check the Walt Disney World app during your visit for up-to-date showtimes.

NEW MERCHANDISE

As we made our way into Big Top Souvenirs, we stumbled upon some exclusive merchandise in honor of the 50th celebration! Here we found a new Space Mountain themed collection which included a new pair of ears, oversized pin, and exclusive Loungefly bag. This is the first installment of the “Main Attraction” collection, which is Disney’s newest merchandise line. There will be a new release each month, featuring popular attractions such as The Jungle Cruise, It’s A Small World, The Haunted Mansion, and more.

DINNER AT CASEY’S CORNER

Before heading out for the evening, we decided to grab a bite to eat at a Magic Kingdom staple, Casey’s Corner! This Baseball themed spot restaurant is known for their Hot Dogs and Corn Dog Nuggets! We decided to mobile order our food to save some time, and it only took us about 5 minutes to get our food! We decided to go with some Corn Dog Nuggets, Fries, and a Pressed Penny Silk Pie. The Silk Pie is a specialty dessert for the 50th celebration, which consisted of chocolate pie, whipped cream, pieces of milk chocolate, and a decorative chocolate “pressed penny” on top. While the pie seemed a bit whipped-cream heavy, it was still very good, and a great treat to end the night!

While rainy weather might not be ideal for a theme park day, we were still able to make the most of it, and we can’t wait to come back!
