REVIEW: Disneyland’s New Churro Is Strictly A Vessel For Sauce

It’s no secret that we eat A LOT of Disney snacks here at DFB — so it’s safe to say that we’ve had our mouths, hands, and clothes dyed pretty much every color of the rainbow throughout the years.

Sleeping Beauty Castle

Most recently, we’ve been eating up our share of blue dye #1 as Disney World made it almost mandatory to be covered in EARidescent frosting to be considered a 50th-anniversary celebration snack. And, just when we thought that we had tried all the treats that would send us home looking like an ad for Disney snacks, another one showed up on the west coast in honor of the return of Disney’s Main Street Electrical Parade!

Let us introduce the Blueberry Looks Good On You Churro and Blueberry Cheesecake Dipping Sauce from the Hub Churro Cart in Disneyland Park. Appropriately named? Probably — you’re sure to be blue after this one, though we’re not so sure that it looks all that good on us.

Does it really look good on us, though?

The churro is a Blueberry-Flavored Sugar-Dusted Churro paired with a sauce that includes Blueberry fruit topping with cream cheese icing. And, when they say blue they aren’t kidding — it’s VERY blue…ELECTRIC blue! And, your churro won’t be the only thing blue after you finish eating this one! We had it allllll over our hands and mouth by the last bite.

SO MUCH BLUE

So, is this churro worth the fact that you’ll need a gallon of water to wash off all the blue stains? Well, we thought that the blueberry sugar didn’t add much flavor — it just tasted like a normal (yet, delicious) Disneyland churro. But, what really worked for us was the Blueberry Cheesecake Dipping Sauce!

This dipping sauce is EVERYTHING5.

The blueberries in the sauce tasted fresh, and the cheesecake flavor was just the right amount of sweet. We were left wanting more than the little cup could offer us!

The dipping sauce is GREAT

If you don’t mind getting a little blue over a churro, we’d recommend trying this one out while you still can! You can find it at the Hub Churro Cart at Disneyland for $5.75. And, we’ll be trying more of the new snacks at Disneyland AND Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more reviews!
