Earth Day is on April 22 this year. So it is only right that the Hot Dog of the Month at GCH Craftsman Bar & Grill at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is themed to the annual celebration. Keep on reading for our review of this new plant-based meal.
Earth Day Hot Dog – $12
Plant-based Sausage, Sautéed Spinach, Mushrooms and Onions, topped with Green Goddess Dressing and edible flowers, served with Fruit
This smells delicious. The bun is toasted to perfection.
The Green Goddess dressing on top of the greens is very tasty and has a good flavor.
True to its name, it tastes pretty earthy! And it’s plant-based, meaning we can go extra-green for Earth Day.
The meat by itself tastes flavorless and dry. The peppers, mushrooms, greens, and oil work together to enhance the dog, making this an interesting choice.
Would we recommend this all in all? Probably not, it wasn’t our style and we wouldn’t order it again. But you’ll just have to try it for yourself if you want to be sure.
You can find this at the GCH Craftsman Grill likely through Earth Day on April 22, so be sure to stop in and let us know what you think!
