The Coffee Grinder, a rarely-open venue off Main Street, U.S.A., opened this afternoon to debut two new vegan 30th anniversary beverages.
When we visited, the Center Street window was closed. Service was only available from the Discovery Arcade window.
The two new plant-based drinks are gourmet cappuccinos with themed art.
They come in dark blue cups featuring the 30th anniversary logo and fireworks over Sleeping Beauty Castle. The coffee at Disneyland Paris is by Lavazza.
Cappuccino Gourmand with Maple Syrup – €5 ($5.41)
Signature plant-based Cappuccino with Oat Drink and Maple Syrup
The Cappuccino Gourmand with maple syrup features Mickey art. It was sweet on top, but in general, it just tasted burnt. Since today was reportedly the first day these drinks were offered, it may have been a bit off since the Cast Members are just learning.
Cappuccino Gourmand with Agave Syrup – €5 ($5.41)
Signature plant-based Cappuccino with Oat Drink and Agave Syrup
The Cappuccino Gourmand with agave syrup features the adorable 30th anniversary logo reminiscent of Mickey ears. It had the perfect balance of sweet and rich flavor. This was the best non-Starbucks coffee we’ve had in a theme park.
Both drinks are worth trying for a mid-afternoon boost, but the agave was our favorite of the two. The Coffee Grinder is experimenting with an operating schedule of 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. on weekends only.
