Just a few days after signs were added to the building, Salt & Straw has had its grand opening on the west side of Disney Springs.
We were at Disney Springs this morning for the grand opening of the ice cream shop, which now has a giant ice cream cone above the entrance.
Dozens of other guests lined up for the grand opening.
Salt & Straw has also had a location at Disneyland Resort for several years now.
Inside, the small shop is decorated with wood paneling and red striped lighting fixtures.
There are limited edition flavors, classic flavors, and “last chance” scoops.
Guests can sample as many flavors as they want before buying, which is great for trying limited edition flavors.
There is also a freezer full of pints if you want to take your favorite flavor home.
Salted, Malted, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
Cookie dough is a relatively “normal” ice cream flavor, but this was the best iteration of the classic that we’ve ever had.
There was never a bite without a chunk of cookie.
We also tried The Salty Donut Guava + Cheese. It was excellent, giving as many flavors as a pastry dish. It combined the flavors of guava and cheese with milky ice cream.
