Roof Work Continues on The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort

Roof work continues on The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort as new Disney Vacation Club Resort Studios are created, and the building is refurbished.

Shingles have been removed from several sections of this building.

Black weather-proof sheathing is exposed.

The building is covered in scaffolding, the top level protected by white tarps.

There were no crew members working when we stopped by this weekend.

It seems work is focused on the roof and top balconies for now.

The staircase on the side of this building has been almost completely torn down.

Some supports remain, but paneling and the actual stairs were removed.

It’s a similar story on this side of the building.

Another staircase is almost completely destroyed.

Some stairs remain near the ground.

Black tubes travel from the top level of scaffolding to the ground.

Construction walls advertise the Villas. Read more about the updates coming to Grand Floridian rooms.
