7 Things MISSING from the 2022 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Announcements

This week, Disney gave us tons of news about the 2022 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, and we couldn’t help but notice what was missing from the announcements.

2021 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival

While there’s a lot to be excited about (Eat to the Beat is BACK!), there are still some classic events and experiences that weren’t included in any announcements (yet). We haven’t seen most of these missing events since 2019 but it’s still possible that some of them may be back for 2022! Let’s go over everything not yet confirmed to return!

Special Events

Party for the Senses

Party for the Senses was a majorly popular EPCOT Food & Wine Festival event, but we haven’t seen it since 2019. At this special event, we’ve been able to taste dishes from over 50 different tasting stations, all while a host leads more festivities.

Party for the Senses in 2017

Party for the Senses was historically a pricey ticketed event but it remained a popular option for guests at Food & Wine Festivals. Although it was not included in the most recent announcements, it’s still possible it could return for 2022.

Cheese Seminars

CHEESE. You had us at cheese, Disney. Cheese Seminars were all about learning about, well, cheese! This was another ticketed event that came at an extra cost but come on, it’s cheese. Who doesn’t want to eat AND learn more about cheese??

Cheese Seminar from the 2019 Food and Wine Festival

In the past, the Cheese Seminar would include a cheese expert as well as wine, cheese (of course), fruit, and more. Again, it has not yet been confirmed to return to the Food & Wine Festival, but we’re watching out for more news.

Mexican Tequila Lunch

The Tequila Lunch included tastings from regional Mexican cuisine and a chance to learn all about tequila. This ticketed event provided guests with tequila samples and a prix fixe menu for pairings.

Hilda, Tequila Ambassador

In the past, we got five glasses of tequila as well as tasty eats! We’ll be watching out to see if this event returns soon.

VIP Experiences

VIP and premium experiences were also available in the past, such as a package that included 8 food or beverage entitlements at select Food & Wine Festival booths. You even got a limited-release pin!

2017 Festival Tasting Sampler

Depending on how you like to eat at the Food & Wine Festival, the sampler could actually be a good deal too! We’re watching to see if this is an option again in 2022.

Other Special Events

There are many other special ticketed events that we have not seen at the Food & Wine Festival since 2019.

Italian Beer Pairing

From hands-on experiences to special dining opportunities and tastings, there was quite a variety of events to choose from in the past. You can take a look at the list of past events below.

  • Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It! Hands-On Workshops
  • Parisian Breakfast
  • French Family Meal Traditions
  • The Parisian Afternoon: Sandwiches, Macarons, and Bubbles
  • The “Hibachi” Experience: Year of Celebration
  • Culinary Tour of Japan
  • Mediterranean Food and Wine Pairing
  • Italian Food, Wine vs. Beer Pairing
  • Italian Regional Food and Wine Pairing Luncheon
  • Frozen Ever After Dessert Party

Nothing has been confirmed to return in 2022, but we’re watching closely for any updates from Disney.

Celebrity Chefs

In the past, celebrity chefs would visit EPCOT Food & Wine Festival for a variety of appearances, and Sunday Brunch with the Chef was a 2-hour event with a breakfast buffet, a sparkling wine toast, and even a Q&A session with the chef.

Celebrity Chefs Expected at the 2010 Epcot Food and Wine Festival

In the past, we’ve seen chefs like Robert Irvine, Jamie Deen, Donald Link, and more. This was another special ticketed event we haven’t seen since 2019 and it has not yet been confirmed to return for 2022.

Entertainment

Although we do know about the return of the Eat to the Beat Concert Series, it has not yet been announced whether the JAMMin’ Chefs on the Canada Mill Stage or the America Gardens Bandstand concert series at the America Gardens Theatre will be back.

JAMMIN’ Chefs!

Last year, we did see these forms of entertainment, including popular groups such as Mariachi Cobre and Voices of Liberty, but they have yet to be confirmed for 2022.

Take a look at all the entertainment we saw at the Food & Wine Festival in 2021!

Just because none of these things have been confirmed for 2022 doesn’t mean they won’t be, but we will have to wait and see. Note that seminars have been confirmed to return to the 2022 Swan and Dolphin Food and Wine Classic, so it IS possible that we may see some return to Disney World. We’re watching closely for any more updates about the 2022 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, so stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news!
