Disney Parks posted a picture of Cinderella’s Wishing Well in Magic Kingdom on their Instagram. In this post, they reminded us why it’s vital that we continue throwing coins into these fountains while making wishes. These pennies, nickels, or quarters that have been thrown into the wishing well make a big difference whether you know it or not.

Periodically the different fountains and major waterways are cleaned of all the coins and donated to Give Kids the World Village. Due to the recent wishes made at the various fountains and waterways throughout Walt Disney World, they were able to donate $30,000 to Give Kids the World. The Disney company has had a relationship with the Village for over 35 years and has helped grant many wishes that make the families’ trip to Central Florida seamless. Disney VoluntEARS have donated their time to help out around the Village, whether serving ice cream or helping with special events in the Village.

As some of you may know, we also have a relationship with Give Kids the World Village and will be having an event, DisCon, this year on September 30th and October 1st. This event will benefit the Village by helping grant more wishes to children and their families. If you want to support this fantastic non-profit, bring extra coins on your next trip to Walt Disney World and come to DisCon later this year.
