Grab your lightsabers and droids and get ready to head to Batuu (if you’re able to get a park pass, that is), because tomorrow is May the 4th, also known as Star Wars Day!
We’ve already gotten a sneak peek at the food offerings that will be available in both Disney World and Disneyland, as well as shared unique ways to celebrate this special holiday, and now, Disney has released some more details about how you’ll be able to make your day a little more intergalactic.
One of the best ways to commemorate your trip to Disney World is to take lots and lots of pictures!
One great way you can do that is by utilizing Disney’s PhotoPass Service. PhotoPass is a service that allows everyone to get in on the picture by stationing photographers all around the parks, often in front of iconic landmarks like Cinderella Castle or the Tree of Life. To help celebrate Star Wars Day, Disney is introducing FOUR new photo opportunities to Hollywood Studios. All four of these opportunities are located in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
The first gives you the opportunity to become a bounty hunter and determine whom your next bounty will be on a holopuck.
These are called Magic Shots, which is when special effects are added to your photo to enhance them! The next photo op is this Magic Shot, where you can practice your skills with The Force using this training droid!
Across from Oga’s Cantina, you can get a photo with Mace Windu’s iconic purple lightsaber. This opportunity is only available once the sun goes down.
And finally, over by the Droid Depot, you can get your picture taken with Boba Fett’s ship flying overhead!
These PhotoPass experiences will be available starting tomorrow and will continue to be available even after Star Wars Day ends.
If you’re celebrating from home, Disney has partnered with TikTok to bring back the Star Wars character text-to-speech voices to the app. From now to May 15th, your TikTok posts can feature the voices of some of your favorite Star Wars characters.
@disneyparks ALERT!The Star Wars Text-To-Speech voices have returned for #StarWarsDay Available now – May 15 #Disney #DisneyParks #StarWars #TextToSpeech #Voices
We’ll be on the lookout for more ways to celebrate May the 4th both in the Disney parks and from home, so make sure to stay tuned to DFB for all the latest!
