May the 4th is one of my favorite holidays, and I love to celebrate it at Hollywood Studios. The energy in the park on this day feels so positive, and everyone looks so happy. I see some of the best Star Wars outfits ever on this day. For my May the 4th journey, I tried a Star Wars themed snack and took a handful of fun PhotoPass pictures.
I got my snack at Backlot Express using mobile ordering within the My Disney Experience app. The treat I got was the Dark Side Chocolate Creation because that snack looked the prettiest; I also love chocolate, so I couldn’t resist. This treat cost $5.99, and it was pretty small in size, so I was worried it wasn’t worth it. After eating the snack, I knew it was worth it. This dessert wasn’t heavy in the chocolate department, and I believe that’s because of the Rasberry Mousse filling. The full description of the treat on the My Disney Experience app states it’s made with a malted milk chocolate mousse dome with raspberry mousse, topped with almonds and a chocolate shortbread cookie base. I love the cookie base and the almonds because they added a nice crunch to the treat, changing the texture.
After enjoying my sweet treat, I went on the hunt for the fun PhotoPass opportunities. Each PhotoPass Cast Member I encountered was friendly, and they had a blast with everyone celebrating May the 4th. Most of the time, a PhotoPass photographer will take two, maybe three photos and be done, but today that was not the case. I felt like they were giving me a full-blown photoshoot at each location. I saw a PhotoPass photographer around each corner throughout Galaxy’s Edge, so there were plenty of picture opportunities for those celebrating May the 4th.
Overall, I had an enjoyable time because I got to try a fun-themed snack that was delicious, and I got to take many pictures throughout Galaxy’s Edge. I recommend planning a vacation during this time, especially if you are a Star Wars fan.
