If you live in Orlando, you may be familiar with the lovely I-4 and how stress-inducing it can be. Your drive on I-4 will be a little more magical than before due to this new piece of artwork that Disney is putting up. Disney says this is just another way to celebrate the 50th Anniversary and make the celebration even more significant.

The Disney Parks Blog announcement states it will be a larger-than-life outdoor art display along the popular I-4/International Drive area in Orlando to showcase some of your favorite Disney characters. The display will be on the outside of the Hollywood Plaza garage. In addition to this, there will be a brand new store opening on May 31st. A new Walt Disney World Store combines merchandise, ticket sales, and the first-ever interactive Disney Vacation Club Virtual Discovery Station. The Disney Vacation Club Discovery Station will have floor-to-ceiling screens that will transport guests to the theme parks, resorts, and cruise destinations worldwide by using first-person virtual tours, photo galleries, and videos.

International Drive is a trendy shopping and entertainment area in Orlando, so this is the perfect spot for a store like this. Many tourists who visit this area enjoy the nightlife or are visiting Universal Studios Florida, which is not too far away. This could be an excellent way for visitors to experience Disney outside the parks and be persuaded to buy tickets to visit Walt Disney World. It seems like the goal here is to get people to want to come to Disney and think about becoming a Disney Vacation Club member.
