It’s almost time for summer in Southern California, which can get pretty toasty for a few months to say the least. So in preparation, Universal Studios Hollywood brought out a new summertime concoction that’s 100% All-American — a Chocolate Coca-Cola Float at Mel’s Diner!

Chocolate Coca-Cola Float – $10

The float is served in a classic plastic float cup, with Coca-Cola on the bottom, vanilla soft serve ice cream in the middle, with a decadent and rich chocolate whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cherry on top.

This is a classic All-American treat, perfect for a hot Hollywood summer day. It’s very appropriate to serve this at Mel’s Diner, and fits well with the sock hop tunes playing on the music loop.

On its own, the ice cream and Coca-Cola still go well together. But the addition of the extremely rich chocolate whipped cream elevates this into something just a little bit more. It’s nothing we would make a special trip to Universal Studios Hollywood just to try, but if you’re already here and looking for a classic summer treat, you can’t go wrong with this. We definitely recommend it over the Spiked Horchata we tried a couple of weeks ago.

For many guests, a trip to Disney World just isn’t complete without a stop in Magic Kingdom.

There are so many snacks to try, lots of merchandise to check out, and rides to experience, so we totally get it! But there are also some pretty awesome shows and parades in Magic Kingdom, and three shows will be changing their times very soon!

Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire is a show that happens right in front of Cinderella Castle multiple times a day. Currently, you can catch the show at 1:05PM, 2:15PM, 4:30PM, 5:35PM, and 7PM, and that’s how times stay through June 4th.

However, starting on June 5th, showtimes will be 12:50PM, 2PM, 4PM, 5:35PM and 7PM!

If you’re a fan of hearing a wonderful quartet sing in the park, The Dapper Dans‘ showtimes are changing as well! Currently, you can catch their show at 9:05AM, 9:55AM,10:35AM, 11:20AM, 1:05PM, 2:15PM, and 4:05PM, and that continues through June 4th.

Starting June 5th however, you can catch them at 9:05AM, 9:55AM, 10:35AM, 11:20AM, 12:50PM, 1:50PM, and 3:40PM. The changes affect those last 3 showtimes.

If you’re a fan of Disney’s Cavalcades, then it’s important to note that the times for Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade are changing as well. Right now you can catch it at 10:45AM, 12:40PM, 1:50PM, 3:40PM, and 6:10PM. This again continues through June 4th.

On and after June 5th, you can see it at 10:45AM, 1:30PM, 4:30PM, and 6:10PM.

Showtimes can change frequently in the Disney parks, so we suggest you check your My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit for the most up-to-date show information. For a full list of showtimes in Magic Kingdom, click here.

This shopping and dining complex is home to some of the best food, dozens of merchandise stores with unique souvenirs, and all kinds of snacks that you can only find here. But if you haven’t been in a few days, things have changed! So today, we’re sharing everything that’s new in Disney Springs.

Disney Springs Food Updates

D-Luxe Burger

Over at D-Luxe Burger, the menu got a little revamp this past week! No new burgers arrived, but the chefs there were working on upgrading the current items on the menu. The ultimate goal is to have the BEST burgers in Orlando!

We reviewed two items that were updated, and though they’re probably not the best in Orlando, they’re certainly improved from what we’ve had there in the past. If you haven’t been in a while, stop by and give them a try!

Amorette’s Patisserie

Also new in the food realm of Disney Springs is the Blue Obi-Wan Lightsaber Éclair, which was $8. It’s made with butterfly pea flower blue icing, rock candy, and a white chocolate lightsaber.

Unfortunately, we were a tad underwhelmed by this one. The eclair itself wasn’t bad, but the filling left a lot to be desired and the size wasn’t as big as we were hoping for the price. Bummer!

Disney Springs Merchandise Updates

Super Hero Headquarters

Let’s start out our merchandise roundup at Super Hero Headquarters, where there’s a new line of Ms. Marvel-themed merch in honor of the upcoming Disney+ series of the same name. First of all, there’s a new dress (that we also spotted in the dress shop at Marketplace Co-op) for $128.

If you want an edgier look, try the Ms. Marvel Faux Leather Jacket instead — we love that red, blue, and gold color scheme! It’s available for $74.99.

And it wouldn’t be a new collection without a backpack…or two! The first bag is a Loungefly for $85…

…and the second is a smaller red backpack for $34.99. This one feels very comic book-esque!

There are new items for the kiddos as well. We spotted a kids’ jacket for $46.99. It has some of the same patches as the red backpack!

There’s also a sweatsuit set for little ones, how cute! You can grab this for $36.99.

And last but not least, we’ve got a Ms. Marvel hat for $29.99.

Ms. Marvel premieres exclusively on Disney+ on June 8th. We can’t wait to watch it and see what it’s all about!

World of Disney

World of Disney was home to a bunch of new items as well this week! There’s plenty of new Star Wars merchandise, starting with new Obi-Wan Kenobi-inspired shirts. The first one is a classic shot of the fan-favorite Jedi for $36.99.

Or, if you’re a fan of the dark side, you could get the Darth Vader tee instead. It’s also $36.99 and features stills of Vader’s mask and his famous duel with Obi-Wan.

In addition to the shirts, there’s a new Vader backpack. We first got a glimpse of this one when the merchandise was announced for Star Wars Celebration last week. You can grab it in-store for $75.

But that isn’t all the Star Wars merch! We got other new tees as well, like this Luke Skywalker Ultra Violet one…

…the Ultra Violet Star Wars Speeder shirt…

…and one inspired by the Death Star! Each of these can be found in Disney World’s biggest gift shop for $36.99.

And if you want something for those winter months, grab the Darth Vader Long-Sleeve Shirt while you’re at it! This one is $64.99, but it’ll keep you warm with the fire of Mustafarian rage.

Moving away from Star Wars, we got a new Turning Red doll set inspired by Pixar’s newest film. The Meilin Lee doll transforms into the Red Panda version of herself and even comes with a bonus outfit! You can get it all for $34.99.

And even though we’re several months into the celebration, we’re not done with the 50th Anniversary merchandise yet! A new crossbody bag landed in the store this week for $29.99.

Finally, there are two new Loungefly items with a brand-new Disney Park characters pattern! You can get the Loungefly Wallet for $50…

…or you can grab the matching backpack for $75. IF you’re feeling fancy, why not go ahead and get the set?! You’re on vacation — treat yourself!

We love this fun cartoon pattern — it has some of our favorite characters from classic Disney rides and attractions. Wouldn’t it be fun to get some ears to match?!

I LIVE! A new long-sleeved shirt featuring “The Indestructible Mushu” from “Mulan” is now available at Disneyland Resort. We found it at World of Disney in Downtown Disney District.

Mushu Long-Sleeved Shirt – $39.99

The shirt is solid black.

The front reads “Who am I?” twice, in white lettering.

Mushu the dragon is pictured at the center, smiling with his arms wide.

On the back, Mushu bangs a gong, with a more serious expression on his face.

Father’s Day will be upon us before we know it!

And thanks to Star Wars Celebration 2022, we’ve had Star Wars on the brain! Celebration brought us TONS of Star Wars news — from new characters in Galaxy’s Edge, to new NFTs. But now Disney is bringing the two together — Father’s Day and Star Wars — to create the ultimate gift for your Disney-loving Dad!

Earlier today while we were checking out the parks, we found this NEW Star Wars Father’s Day MagicBand in Disney World!

This Limited Edition MagicBand has Darth Vader on one side…

…and the phrase “Best Dad in the Galaxy” on the other! How sweet!

What do you think — is Darth Vader truly the best dad in the galaxy? Or are you more of a Dadalorian fan? Regardless of your vote there, if you’ve got a dad who is a Star Wars fan and you want to show him that he is the Best Dad in the Galaxy, this could be a great buy! Plus it’s a limited edition item, so it can be a great piece for Dad’s collection!

We found this MagicBand in The Darkroom in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for $39.99. We haven’t seen this particular MagicBand on shopDisney just yet, but be sure to check there in the upcoming days and weeks to see if it gets added to the online store.

A new sweatshirt inspired by Pixar’s “Coco” is now available at Disneyland Resort. We found this in Knick’s Knacks at Disney California Adventure.

“Coco” Sweatshirt – $54.99

The sweatshirt is a faded green color.

Miguel and Héctor are featured on the front. “Remember me” is repeated several times behind them, while “Recuérdame” is across them. There are also some skulls and a guitar.

The sweatshirt has a large front pocket.

It also has a hood.
