A billboard for the upcoming Disney Channel Original Series Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion was placed in the Hollywood Studios parking lot. The show debuts on Disney+ on June 8th.

Various Update

In a unique turn of events, we were evacuated from Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, which was an interesting experience! Cast Members helped direct everyone off the ride after one of the vehicles stopped responding.

Back to the front of the ride!

We were directed to walk back from the “Under the Sea” room through all the scenes prior, so we were able to see some of the scenes in a new light (literally!).

Hot Wheels is celebrating the early designs of Classic Star Wars vehicles. We found the new Hot Wheels Star Wars Concept Series set at Star Wars Trading Post at Disneyland Park.

Star Wars Hot Wheels Concept Series – $49.99

This is a five-piece set. Included are four spaceships, and one land vehicle from Star Wars.

Display stands and bases are also included in the package.

The set contains an X-Wing Fighter, TIE Fighter, Millennium Falcon, Landspeeder, and Star Destroyer.

Colin Cantwell, the designer of many of these Original Concepts, recently passed away.

This early version X-Wing features a green and blue striped nose.

Surprisingly, this is an early Millennium Falcon design. It went on to inspire the Rebel Blockade Runner.

However, this TIE Fighter model isn’t too different from its final design.

The orange, pie-shaped vehicle is a landspeeder prototype.

Is that Luke Starkiller driving the landspeeder?

Finally, this is the Star Destroyer in its early form.

The back of the package reveals a display of the five concept vehicles.

This collection is a wonderful way to celebrate the work of artists such as Colin Cantwell, Ralph McQuarrie, and Joe Johnston. They played an integral role in bringing George Lucas’ vision to life.

Beware the might of the Galactic Empire! Show your loyalty to the Dark Side with a new Imperial Crest Medal. This imposing item is available now at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland Park, inside Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities.

The medal comes displayed in a black container.

The round, metallic medal appears golden along the detailing. The base is a darker bronze color.

A black-on-black imprint of the Imperial logo appears on the top of the display box. The bottom of the display case is solid black.

Dok-Ondar has the medal on display in his store.

We’ve been gearing up for MONTHS for one big show on Disney+, and now it’s finally here!

Star Wars fans around the world have been waiting for the release of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, and we’ve been pretty pumped too, thanks to the trailers, the new merchandise, and all the hype that the show got at this past weekend’s Star Wars Celebration event. But the fanbase for the show is most evident in the statistics, and its premiere is already breaking some big records!

Disney+ announced on Twitter that Obi-Wan Kenobi is officially the most-watched premiere of an original series on the streaming platform. This record is based on hours watched during the opening weekend.

The show premiered on May 27th with the first two episodes released. The series as both a sequel and a prequel, bridging the gap between Star Wars films 1-3 and 4-6. It follows the adventures of beloved Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi as he’s hunted by the Empire and his former padawan, Anakin Skywalker (who is now Darth Vader).

It’s the show that prequel fans have been especially excited for, considering Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christiansen are returning to reprise their roles. McGregor describes the feeling of the show as very cohesive, saying “because Deb directed them all and it’s her singular vision throughout, it did feel like we were just making one movie.” We can’t wait to watch the story play out in the coming weeks!

It’s a huge milestone for Disney+, but we have a feeling this upcoming month is going to be a big one for the streaming platform anyway. Along with more episodes of this series, they’ve also got the premiere of Ms. Marvel scheduled for June 8th and Baymax on June 29th. On top of that, there are several other titles arriving that subscribers will want to check out!

One of Disney World’s newest shows has already changed in a major way!

Disney KiteTails, the show featuring giant kites from The Lion King or The Jungle Book, debuted in October 2021 in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Despite being less than a year old, Disney recently announced plans to change the show, which resulted in shorter but more frequent shows. Now we have a few more details about this change so that you can be sure to catch KiteTails during your next visit!

Not long ago, KiteTails switched to walk-by viewing rather than seated showtimes in the Discovery River Amphitheater. You can now catch your favorite kites from several spots around the Discovery River Lagoon more frequently, but there are no set showtimes, and there is no longer a pre-show.

We recently spoke with a Cast Member about this new form of KiteTails and we were told that you can generally catch snippets of what used to be the full KiteTails show every 20 minutes around the Discovery River Lagoon daily between 9:10AM and 3:10PM. During our recent visit, we observed performances that were around 5 minutes or less, but they were basically mini versions of the previous show (which was around 10 minutes long).

Most of the guests in the area stood around the water to catch the shows but you can still sit in the Discovery River Amphitheater for the shortened performances. We still heard favorite tunes like “Hakuna Matata!”

“Ms. Marvel” is landing on Disney+ on June 8, 2022, so merchandise featuring the new superhero has been flying into Disneyland Resort. We’ve already found a new Her Universe dress, jacket, pajamas, and ball cap. Now a new Ms. Marvel tee is available at World of Disney in Downtown Disney District.

The short-sleeved shirt is white with a scoop neck.

Ms. Marvel is pictured in her superhero costume on the bottom, with a paisley design of blue and red around her.

The back of the shirt is just plain, solid white.

We couldn’t find mister fans in the parks, but there were bubble wands! And another classic item, Mickey Balloons, were also missing. A large number of other balloons are available. But the classic Mickey balloons seem to be unavailable at this time.

We also saw that guests are being taken down Main Street, U.S.A. on a Horse Trolley!

The post What’s New in Magic Kingdom: The Monte Cristo and Mickey Balloons Are MISSING! first appeared on the disney food blog.

Mickey and friends are now appearing in their 50th anniversary outfits at the Disney Visa Card Character Experience in EPCOT. We caught Minnie Mouse and Pluto, but they also rotate with Mickey Mouse and Goofy.

This character experience is exclusive to Disney Visa Card holders. It is next to the Imagination! Pavilion.

Minnie is in her EARidescent purple, blue, and gold dress.

She also wears white gloves, gold shoes, and a gold bow.

Pluto has a special 50th anniversary collar.

His golden tag is decorated with gems.

Mickey Mouse is also greeting guests in his 50th garb at Magic Kingdom, but the Disney Visa Card Character Experience is the only permanent place to meet Minnie, Pluto, and Goofy in these special costumes. They sometimes appear at the resorts, as well as in parades and cavalcades, in these outfits.
