A new collection of retro merchandise recently debuted at Universal Studios Hollywood, and it’s not done yet. With “E.T.,” “Back to the Future,” and “Jaws” each receiving their own collections and a fourth collection of the three movies together, there is plenty of new merchandise to go around. Now, we can add these late arrivals to the plethora. We found these new items at the Universal Studios Store on the Upper Lot.
This very bright and busy neon design consists of mostly pinks, blues, and yellows. The film series logo uses all three, with a DeLorean in similar colors next to it. Around are triangles, lines, and even lightning bolts to accent.
A Universal Studios logo takes center stage as Jaws, a DeLorean, and E.T. himself represent their respective films.
The front of this collab flannel shirt features E.T.’s head popping out of the front pocket.
The back reads “E.T. Phone Home” in large letters.
E.T. sits off-center with a lit heart and finger as the line art words “Be Good” sit to the left and below.
This set features an all-over print of E.T. in various costumes and disguises, as well as playing with different Earth objects.
This frame reads “Stage Pass E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial” on the bottom and shows the flying scene in the red silhouette above. “E.T.” is above some house silhouettes on the right.
Taking inspiration from more modern poster art styles, E.T. sits at the center of this sweater, with his spaceship taking off to the right and Elliott and E.T. flying on the left.
This very 1980s-style sweater show E.T. clutching a pot of flowers at the center with the film’s logo below. The sleeves are a light blue with pink lining the collar, sleeve holes, and waist.
This collab with Cakeworthy shows stars all over with E.T.’s spaceship and the iconic flying past the moon scene.
And finally, the E.T. mugs that were released last week were shorter, without the extra blue lip on top. This style was released at Universal Studios Florida last week, and now it seems we have the same here at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Picking out a new pair of Disney ears is an exciting event for many! But for those of us who are indecisive…it’s pure chaos (ok — not totally, but it can be reeeeeally hard).

Long gone are the days of painstakingly choosing one pair of ears over the other, or deciding which movie/character you prefer more than another. With these new customizable headbands, fans can mix and match multiple characters and items from their favorite Disney movies/shows! Fans get to choose who and what appears on their ears, without buying an entirely new pair. Think of all the options this gives you!

We’ll have to calm ourselves down for now, as they’re currently only in Hong Kong Disneyland. But we’ll be dreaming of these headbands until they (fingers crossed) make their way to Disney World. This week we uncovered a free (or rather, not free) water situation, a missing cookie, and a popular breakfast now available all day. Find out all the news right here at DFB!
One of the worst things you can do in Disney World (especially in the HOT summertime) is get dehydrated. There are lots of places to get free water in Disney World, but something changed this week with one of the most popular places to stop for water.

With a Starbucks location in every Disney Park, they’re known for being a great spot to stop for a large (venti-sized) cup of ice water. And while venti waters are free in Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT, they’re no longer free in Magic Kingdom. You can, however, take as many free red cups of water as you need, so you have options!
The Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue dinner show in Fort Wilderness Resort is returning on June 23rd and reservations are already open, and this week Disney announced some changes and updates that will be done to the show.

In addition to some improved audio and LED stage lighting, there will also be some changes to the scenery and the script!
You might remember that Werther’s Original Gingerbread Caramel Cookie Sandwich from Karamell-Küche in the Germany pavilion in EPCOT is a DFB Favorite. How can it not be? It’s two gingerbread cookies with buttercream icing and Werther’s caramel.

Is this the perfect cookie?
This treat used to be seasonal but recently it was added to the year-round menu, which made us very happy. Sadly, however, this week we noticed that the Gingerbread Caramel Sandwich Cookie was gone (so sad). A Cast Member told us that this beloved sandwich will be going back to a fall/winter seasonal treat, so it sounds like we won’t be able to enjoy this cookie for the summer. 
Up until this week, Annual Passholders could show their physical Annual Pass card along with a form of identification in order to get certain discounts, like 20% off dining, merchandise, and more. Now, however, Annual Passholders must show their ID along with their Annual Pass in the My Disney Experience app.

A Cast Member told us that this change is due to individuals sharing passes and/or using screenshots, so the new policy seems to be here to stay. Make sure you have the My Disney Experience app downloaded and ready during your visit!
From July 5th to July 15th, 2022, the Festival of the Lion King will be unavailable in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This temporary closure is so that Disney can get ready for the full show to return!

The full Festival of the Lion King Show is returning on July 16th, and the tumble monkeys AND birds are coming back! If you want to see the full show, you might want to skip Animal Kingdom between July 5th and 15th.
And finally, we have some exciting news. The DFB favorite Nutella and Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich is now available ALL DAY LONG! You can find it in Magic Kingdom at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments. Previously, it was only available for breakfast before 11AM.

Last night saw the long-awaited return of Fantasmic! at Disneyland, but before the show kicked off, a fight broke out.
The cause of the clash is unclear, but it seemed to involve several guests becoming violent with one another. Disney Security quickly becomes involved, ultimately having to physically restrain at least one guest and escort them away.

Cast Members are posted in the area, directing guests to other locations.
Gateway Gifts is open with cash registers operating but no lights.
There have been unconfirmed reports of a power surge, but no official cause for the outage has been given at this time.
Guests looking to leave EPCOT are being directed to the buses.
