New Mickey Mouse Loungefly Mini Backpack Available at Walt Disney World

Everyone’s favorite mouse stars on this new Loungefly mini (or should we say Mickey?) backpack, available at Walt Disney World. We first found it in the Emporium at Magic Kingdom.

Mickey Loungefly Mini Backpack – $75

The backpack is black and white except for the occasional red of Mickey’s tongue.

Most of the bag is black with an all-over pattern of Mickey’s face. He’s making different expressions, like winking and frowning. There are also small Mickey ears sticking out of the top of the bag.

The front pocket is white with most of Mickey’s face covering it.

The pleather around the main zipper and inside the pockets is white.

The pattern continues onto the bag. The straps are solid black.

The interior lining is red with an all-over pattern of white hidden Mickeys and Mickey gloves.

Will you be taking home this Mickey Mouse Loungefly? Let us know in the comments and check out more Loungefly mini backpacks:

New Star Wars 2D Art Available at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

An amazing new line of 2D Art is available now at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities. We discovered these gorgeous display pieces at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The new 2D Art features Dok-Ondar, the Shadow Collective Syndicate, the Imperial insignia, the Sith Eternal crest, the Knights of Ren, and Darth Vader.

Dok-Ondar 2D Art – $49.99

Dok Ondar 2D Art

We found a stylized representation of Dok-Ondar. It is a fitting tribute to the Ithorian shop owner.

Dok Ondar 2D Art

This 2D art consists only of a few curved, brown lines, on a wooden background. It matches the shop’s logo.

Shadow Collective Syndicate – $49.99

Shadow Collective Syndicate 2D Art

Next, we noticed this eye-catching Shadow Collective piece.

Shadow Collective Syndicate 2D Art

This 2D art is a circular design, similar to a shield. Aurebesh lettering spells out “Shadow Collective” on the top. The phrase is also written in English below the central image.

Shadow Collective Syndicate 2D Art

The black and white imagery is scratched and weathered. It appears that this Syndicate member has seen a lot of action.

Imperial 2D Art – $49.99

Imperial 2D Art

Also in the 2D Art collection is the Imperial logo.

Imperial 2D Art

This crest represents the dreaded Empire, as seen throughout the “Star Wars” series.

Imperial 2D Art

Sith Eternal 2D Art – $49.99

Sith Eternal 2D Art

This stark red and black design is the crest of the Sith Eternal.

Sith Eternal 2D Art

This would liven up any cloning facility on Exegol.

Sith Eternal 2D Art

Knights of Ren – $49.99

Knights of Ren 2D Art

Here is another 2D art piece for Sith followers. “Knights of Ren” appears in Aurebesh and English on either side of the oval design.

Knights of Ren 2D Art

The insignia consists of jagged, red lines on a black center. They are reminiscent of Kylo Ren’s broken helmet.

Vader 2D Art – $49.99

Vader 2D Art

Finally, Darth Vader is boldly depicted on this red and black oval.

Vader 2D Art

The image depicts one half of Darth Vader’s helmet. The helmet is illustrated in aggressive red and black strokes. The name “Vader” appears to the right of the helmet.

Vader 2D Art

The scratched, hurried feel of the image and lettering invokes Vader’s infamous impatience.

The wonderful new 2D art can be obtained from Dok-Ondar’s in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Will you be paying homage to Vader in your den? Perhaps you’d prefer to display Dok-Ondar in the hallway? Let us know in the comments.

This is Why We Warn You About Starbucks in the Morning at Disney World…😳

Thinking about starting your day off in the parks with a cup of coffee? Well, you’re not alone.

We need more

It’s hard to be successful doing rope-drop, Early Theme Park Entry, or even a long day in the parks without caffeine. And naturally, your first thought is to grab Starbucks from inside the parks before starting your day. But would it surprise you to know that this is NOT the best idea? We’ll show you exactly why — but make sure you’re sitting before you keep reading, as what you’re about to see is shocking!

Okay, are you sitting? Good. Today, we had an early start in EPCOT. And, in order to properly fuel up for the day’s activities, we stopped by Connections Café to grab a cup of coffee.

The Entrance

And BAM. No — this isn’t a line for the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction. It’s a line for Starbucks! We couldn’t even believe our eyes…this is one of the worst lines we’ve ever seen for coffee!

Line

And while this is a pretty bad line, it’s not unusual to be met with long lines when grabbing a cup of coffee in the morning. When you’re in the parks, there are limited options for coffee (which get even smaller if you’re looking for Starbucks, specifically), with a large number of people looking for a cup. It’s the perfect recipe for long lines! So how do you avoid this? Well, we’ve got a couple recommendations.

Get Coffee Before You Enter The Park

This can be difficult to do if you’re heading to the parks early and your nearby Starbucks is closed. However, chances are, you’ll be able to find coffee somewhere — you just may not be able to be picky about where it’s from.

Starbucks Coffee

Early mornings in Disney World provide the chance to experience attractions with shorter lines. We don’t like wasting any of the time in line for coffee — regardless of how long the line is!

Make Your Own Coffee

This is an easy option if you’re starting your morning off in your own home, or in a hotel room with a coffee machine!

Animal Kingdom Starbucks Travel Mug

You can choose to sip it slowly as you get ready, or pour it into a travel mug and head to the parks!

Grab Coffee Elsewhere

If you’re not set on grabbing your coffee from Starbucks, you can get a cup from somewhere else!

Joffrey’s

There are other coffee spots like Joffrey’s, which has locations all throughout Disney World! Some of the locations include:

Magic Kingdom

  • Transportation and Ticket Center
  • Tomorrowland Revive Kiosk

EPCOT

  • Near Test Track
  • Near The American Adventure
  • World Showcase – Between the United Kingdom and Canada Pavilions
  • World Showcase – Entrance near Disney Traders
  • EPCOT Monorail Station

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

  • Entrance to Pixar Place
  • Outside of Tower of Terror Exit

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

  • Royal Anandapur Tea Cart near Kali River Rapids
  • Theme Park Entrance

These are great options and there are a bunch of other locations that offer coffee! Just check your My Disney Experience app to find quick service locations near you with coffee!

Get Coffee Later

If you’re adamant about getting your coffee from Starbucks, but still want to avoid lines, you can just grab your drink later! The lines are very long in the morning, but they get much better as the day goes on. Keep checking the location to see how the line looks, and jump in when it dies down!

Starbucks in Animal Kingdom

All of this being said, if you want to relax and drink your Starbucks at Disney World in the morning, go for it! But if Starbucks is looking treacherous and you don’t want to wait, these are some other ways you can still get your coffee! We’ll continue to bring you the latest Disney news and tips, so stay tuned to DFB!

Series 2 of Park Pals Collectabuilds Drives Into Walt Disney World

Over a year after series one was released, series two of the Park Pals Collectabuilds has arrived at Walt Disney World. These mystery boxes include one figurine plus a surprise attraction vehicle that can be built using the box. We found them at Fantasia Gifts in Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

Park Pals Collectabuilds – $9.99

The series 2 box features Minnie Mouse peeking up from the bottom.

There are 12 collectible character figures in this series. Mickey, Minnie, Stitch, Simba, and Pascal were all included in series one, but appear in series two with different colors or expressions.

The Mickey figure has a surprised expression. The Minnie figure is in her blue polka-dot dress, pink bow, and pink shoes. Stitch is grinning. Simba has a red puff of fur on his head. Pascal comes in pink and blue. The series also includes two versions of the Cheshire Cat (one striped, one solid pink), Meeko the raccoon, Winnie the Pooh, Sulley, and Pinocchio.

There are eight possible vehicles. They have the same shapes as the builds in the first series, but different colors and designs, turning them into different park vehicles.

There is Monorail Blue, Mr. Toad’s red car, a red and green train engine, an Astro Orbiter ship, and a Peter Pan’s Flight pirate ship.

Watch our unboxing and building of a train from the first Park Pals Collectabuilds series:

The BEST and WORST Things We Ate in Disney World in May

Here are DFB, we love food. It’s kind of our thing, if you hadn’t guessed yet. (We’re sure you have.)

A Classic Mickey Pretzel

Naturally, we make it our business to try all the things in Disney World! And while there’s a lot of incredible food arriving in the parks every month, not everything is a huge hit. We’re here with the BEST (and the WORST) of May in Disney World, so check it out!

The Four Best

Goofy Peanut Grand Waffle Sundae — Marketplace Snacks

The Goofy Peanut Grand Waffle Sundae is one of five new Mickey Bubble Waffle Sundaes from Marketplace Snacks in Disney Springs (yes, we tried all five of them). Yes, it was a lot of ice cream. Out of the five sundaes, this one had the most going on! This sundae comes with vanilla and chocolate soft-serve with hot fudge, peanuts, sliced bananas, sliced strawberries, mini M&M’S, and a cherry.

Goofy Peanut Grand Waffle Sundae

Basically, this dessert was made for peanut and banana lovers. It was really sweet and there was a LOT going on, but we also really loved the waffle and you get a lot for the price. You can get it for $8.99!

Read our review of all 5 Bubble Waffle Sundaes here!

Sweet Tea Fried Chicken — The Polite Pig

Also new in Disney Springs is the Sweet Tea Fried Chicken at The Polite Pig! This is the new Chef Special for $19, and it’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like — fried chicken marinated in sweet tea. It also comes with succotash, coleslaw, a cheddar biscuit, and hot honey sauce.

Fried Chicken and Cheddar Biscuit

This meal HIT. THE. SPOT, y’all. The fried chicken was moist, the breading was crispy, and the star of the meal was the succotash! Made as a cream sauce made with lima beans and corn plus bread crumbs, it was SO good — and it packed the perfect kick of heat.

Here’s our review of the Sweet Tea Fried Chicken!

Pepperoni Pizza Roll — Connections Cafe

Pizza lovers, you’ve been warned — the new Pepperoni Pizza Roll from Connections Cafe in EPCOT is SO GOOD. It was $10.99 and it comes with a side of pasta salad, and this thing is massive for the price. It’s basically a folded-up slice of pizza, and we loved everything from the chewy bread to the melty cheese and the slightly spicy pepperoni!

Pepperoni Pizza Roll

We also liked the pasta salad, which was covered in Italian dressing and served with onions, cucumbers, and green and red peppers. You can get chips on the side if pasta salad isn’t your thing!

Click here for our full review of the Pepperoni Pizza Roll!

Tony’s Garlic Bread — Tony’s Town Square Restaurant

And finally, Tony’s Garlic Bread was a HUGE surprise! While Tony’s Town Square Restaurant has admittedly been disappointing in Magic Kingdom, we visited recently to try some new menu items, including Tony’s Garlic Bread for the Table for $11, which comes with toasted ciabatta with roasted garlic-butter and parmesan fonduta.

Tony’s Garlic Bread

This garlic bread changed our LIFE. It was very garlicky and served with a creamy parmesan Alfredo sauce that was incredible with the bread. We’ll be dreaming about this garlic bread for a long time.

Here’s our most recent review of Tony’s Town Square Restaurant!

The Five Worst

Strawberry Bliss Cupcake — Landscape of Flavors

The Strawberry Bliss Cupcake from Art of Animation Resort’s Landscape of Flavors was beautiful but the taste was not our favorite. Made with yellow cake filled with strawberry boba and topped with strawberry buttercream and white vanilla wafers with white chocolate and nonpareils, it was SWEET with all caps for $5.79.

Strawberry Bliss Cupcake

The strawberry flavors tasted artificial, and although we liked the yellow cake, it wasn’t enough to balance out the overwhelming sweetness. This cupcake was available only through May 11th so you can’t try it now, but we wouldn’t recommend it anyway.

Here’s our review of the Strawberry Bliss Cupcake!

Summer Strawberry Lemonade — Coca-Cola Rooftop Bar

Another beautiful treat, the Summer Strawberry Lemonade from the Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Bar in Disney Springs, left us a little, well, confused. This cocktail is made with Minute Maid Lemonade, Tito’s Vodka, elderflower syrup, strawberry syrup, and muddled strawberries for $16.04.

Summer Strawberry Lemonade

While we did think it was refreshing, it ended up tasting dull. The strawberry and elderflower syrups cut down on the taste of the alcohol, but the overall mixing of flavors with the lemonade made it turn out strangely dull.

Read our review of the Summer Strawberry Lemonade here!

Barbecue Chicken Sandwich — Cosmic Ray’s

We tried the not-new Barbecue Chicken Sandwich Meal at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in Magic Kingdom for a fresh review, and we found it just okay, really. You get barbecue chicken topped with a kale slaw on a bun, served with a side of fries for $12.29. We didn’t hate it, but it wasn’t anything special.

Barbecue Chicken Sandwich

The chicken was a little dry and really coated in barbecue sauce, which was super sweet (no smoky or spicy flavors here). We loved the fries, which were cooked perfectly, but overall you can find something better than this for the price.

Click here for our review of the Barbecue Chicken Sandwich!

Toy Box Tomato Salad — Tony’s Town Square Restaurant

The Toy Box Tomato Salad from Tony’s Town Square Restaurant is a newer menu item, and for $12 you get marinated tomatoes with torn burrata cheese, cucumbers, focaccia, pickled onions, and basil. And like the barbecue chicken sandwich, it was just okay. Although the vegetables were fresh, we thought the burrata cheese needed more salt.

Toy Box Tomato Salad

Also, for the price, the serving size is really small, and it wasn’t very fulfilling. Do yourself a favor and order Tony’s Garlic Bread instead of this!

Here’s our most recent review of Tony’s Town Square Restaurant!

Dreamsicle Cone — Gasparilla Island Grill

And finally, we’re heading to the Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Hotel & Spa, where we tried the Dreamsicle Cone for $5.48. This waffle cone comes with a brownie inside and a rice krispie treat shaped like a scoop of ice cream, with white chocolate drizzle on top.

Dreamsicle Cone

It’s cute and all but this treat was a great big fail. The rice krispie treat was okay, but the brownie was dense and tasted like artificial chocolate. And the cone itself was so stale that it hurt our teeth! You probably want to skip this one.

Read our review of the Dreamsicle Cone here!
