If you’ve just arrived on Batuu, you may want to “exchange” some of your dollars into galactic currency. And by “exchange,” we mean you can now purchase sets of different coins from around the “Star Wars” universe at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland.
Calamari Flan – $34.99
Calamari Flan is the currency of Mon Cala. It made its on-screen debut in episode one of “The Mandalorian.”
In the show, the Calamari Flan are squishy, but these are hard. This is a set of six.
Mandalorian Coins – $29.99
Each of the Mandalorian coins features a different finish, but are all engraved with the Mythosaur skull, the symbol of the Mand’alor (leader of all the tribes) and of the Mandalorian people as a whole.
These are likely for use on the homeworld of Mandalore, as it has been established in “The Mandalorian” that The Tribe considered Beskar fair payment as currency.
Imperial Credits – $29.99
These Imperial Credits were the standardized form of currency across the galaxy during the reign of the Empire. They were just another form of the Galactic Credit Standard, a uniform currency established by the old Republic.
Each ingot is embossed with “ROWE” in Aurebesh, which is a mystery as to its meaning.
New Republic Credits – $29.99
After the fall of the Empire, the New Republic Credit replaced the Galactic Credit Standard. This is the currency of the New Republic, established by the one-time Rebel Alliance and as such, features the Rebel Alliance symbol prominently.
In Aurebesh, this one says “New Republic” and features the symbol for credits in the lower right corner.
This coin says “The Declaration of a New Republic” along the top and bottom.
This coin also says “The Declaration of a New Republic,” but the patina on copper finish makes it much easier to read.
Will you be adding these to your coin collection? Let us know in the comments below!

Fans may be waiting a while to see the further adventures of Lando Calrissian, according to Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy.
In an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment’s Kevin Polowy at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022, Kennedy cited scheduling issues for the delays on the “Lando” series. It was announced back in 2020 with star Donald Glover.
She acknowledges that Glover is a “popular” and “very busy” performer, which has made it difficult to begin production on the series, adding “if we could be doing that tomorrow, I would love it.” Still, she remains optimistic, saying that conversations are still ongoing.
In “Lando,” Glover will reprise his performance as the title character, which he last performed in “Solo: A Star Wars Story.” Series creator Justin Simien (“Dear White People”) is keeping himself busy in the meantime, as he serves as director of the upcoming film “Haunted Mansion,” which hits theaters March 10th, 2023.
Even with “Lando” stuck in neutral, there’s still plenty to keep Star Wars fans glued to Disney+. “Obi-Wan Kenobi” just premiered on the streaming service, with “Andor” set to debut on August 31st, and season three of “The Mandalorian” and “Ahsoka” coming next year. Other shows, like “The Acolyte” and the newly-announced “Skeleton Crew,” remain in development.

A new Star Tours patch has arrived, celebrating 35th years of the classic “Star Wars” attraction. We discovered the new patch at Star Wars Trading Post in the Downtown Disney District.
Star Tours 35th Anniversary Patch – $9.99
The patch features the famous Star Tours logo, in blue and orange. The logo and the words “Star Tours” are stitched on a white background.
The logo is surrounded by an orange “35” graphic. “1987” and “2022” are stitched in white, on a blue background.
The classic attraction first opened January 9, 1987, in Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park. It was later cloned to Tokyo Disneyland in July 1989, Disney’s Hollywood Studios in December 1989, and Disneyland Paris on its opening day in April 1992.
The packaging depicts a brief (and wordless) “how to” for attaching the patch to clothing.
The 35th Anniversary Star Tours patch joins other 35th Anniversary merchandise we found recently, and is available now at Star Wars Trading Post in the Downtown Disney District. Will you be celebrating this classic attraction with a new, colorful patch? Let us know in the comments.

We got to see the sculpture in progress the other day as it was being created. And now, we get to see it in its final form.
The sculpture is located in front of Star Wars Trading Post. It depicts two key characters from the show (and the Star Wars saga in general): Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader. (Famously, Vader doesn’t like sand, so this is a special appearance for the Sith Lord.) Obi-Wan appears on one side, amid the sand dunes of Tatooine. The Disney+ logo appears to the far left.
At the center we see silhouettes of a lightsaber duel between the two.

As we’ve continued to report, the Walt Disney World Railroad is still closed in Magic Kingdom, with no reopening date announced yet. This classic attraction has been closed since 2018 due to the construction of TRON: Lightcycle Run near the Tomorrowland train station.
Walt Disney World Railroad Main Street Station
It’s likely that the Railroad will not reopen until construction on TRON is completed, and Disney has not yet announced an opening date for the highlight anticipated coaster. We’re watching closely for more updates about these attractions!
Although the Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street, U.S.A. is still closed at this time, we do know that it will officially reopen on July 31st, 2022. Reservations will open on June 28th.

Finding Nemo: The Musical is getting some changes!
Instead of having a Finding Nemo focus, the new show will be based on Disney and Pixar’s Finding Dory!
Voyage of the Little Mermaid has been closed in Hollywood Studios since Disney World reopened in 2020, and Disney has not yet released any details about the future of this show.
The new DVC rooms are scheduled to open in late June 2022 and they will have a Mary Poppins Returns theme. If you want to stay in one of them, you can already reserve a room for the future!

Boba Fett is dressed how he appears in “The Mandalorian” and “The Book of Boba Fett,” with his green chestplate and helmet over black clothing.
We saw him walking past the garage of Black Spire Station.
Boba was accompanied by a Batuu Cast Member who helped lead him through Black Spire Outpost.
He posed for a few photos before exiting to a crew only area.
As we wrote about earlier today, Fennec and Boba Fett’s appearances mark the first time Disney is breaking the timeline of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which is otherwise set between “Star Wars” Episodes 8 and 9.
Fennec, Boba, and eventually the Mandalorian and Grogu, will not be interacting with characters that exist during a different era of “Star Wars.”
Watch our video of Boba Fett at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland below.
Disney has only announced these characters for Disneyland Resort so far.

Whether you’re transporting a stack of Beskar ingots, paying off a bounty hunter with a load of credits, or storing your other valuables for safe keeping, you can do it all in style with this new Camtono case from the Creature Stall in the Marketplace of Black Spire Outpost at Disneyland.
Camtono Case — $49.99
The Camtono has three side panels that open to reveal the storage area inside.
The interior area is lit with a small light on the ceiling of the chamber.
The interior of the chamber is not exceedingly large, just enough room for your most valuable artifacts.
Closing the three panels, the cylindrical case is ready to be transported with its doors locked in place. This is how it was first seen in the Star Wars films, being carried like this during the evacuation of Cloud City.
The lid has a series of switches and an indicator light next to a handle on the very top. This is the security feature to make sure no Jawas pilfer your valuables until you open it.
A secret code can be entered by pressing the switches in series. The code is set to a default series when purchased, but it can be reprogrammed to a custom code with instructions provided upon purchase.
When the code has been entered properly, the indicator light turns green. Then with a twist of the top handle, the doors fall open.
The Camtono case was first seen at Cloud City in “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back,” but has been used more prominently in “The Mandalorian” by The Client, Marshal Cobb Vanth, and even the Pyke Syndicate.
