If you’re planning a Disney World vacation right now, you’re probably thinking about what hotel to stay at, which parks you want to visit, and whether or not you want to use Disney Genie+.

You should also be considering the crowds for when you want to visit Disney World, because this could help determine a lot of your plans. If you’re going soon, be aware that the summer crowds are on their way — let’s take a look at this week’s average wait times to see just how busy the parks are so far!
Magic Kingdom
Let’s head to Magic Kingdom! This week, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the longest average wait time with 69 minutes!
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
After that, we had Jungle Cruise at 61 minutes, Peter Pan’s Flight at 60 minutes, Splash Mountain at 49 minutes, Space Mountain at 45 minutes, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 39 minutes, Pirates of the Caribbean at 38 minutes, Haunted Mansion at 37 minutes, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at 33 minutes, Astro Orbiter at 32 minutes, and Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 32 minutes.
Are you a Galactic Hero?!
Next, we had “it’s a small world” at 22 minutes, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid at 21 minutes, Tomorrowland Speedway at 19 minutes, Magic Carpets of Aladdin at 16 minutes, Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at 15 minutes, and Mickey’s PhilharMagic at 15 minutes.
Under the sea! Under the sea!
Then, we saw Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini at 14 minutes, Dumbo the Flying Elephant at 13 minutes, Prince Charming Regal Carrousel at 11 minutes, and Mad Tea Party at 10 minutes.
Mad Tea Party
And rides that only had wait times in the single digits were Carousel of Progress at 5 minutes, Liberty Square Riverboat at 4 minutes, and Tom Sawyer Island at 1 minute. Rides with no waits were Country Bear Jamboree, Hall of Presidents, Enchanted Tiki Room, and Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.
Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse
Magic Kingdom tends to get VERY busy. Rope dropping the park can help you get in a bit more time to get the most things done.
Also, if you’re using Disney Genie+, know that rides like Jungle Cruise and Peter Pan’s Flight tend to book up their Lightning Lanes pretty quickly, so we would book those first if you want to guarantee you’ll be able to get on them!
EPCOT
Over in EPCOT, the ride with the longest average wait was Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at 66 minutes.

Then, we had Frozen Ever After at 63 minutes, Test Track at 53 minutes, Soarin’ at 25 minutes, Mission: SPACE at 24 minutes, Living with the Land at 11 minutes, Spaceship Earth at 11 minutes, Turtle Talk with Crush at 10 minutes, Journey into Imagination at 10 minutes, Gran Fiesta Tour at 8 minutes, and The Seas with Nemo and Friends at 6 minutes.
Turtle Talk!
Most of the theater shows in EPCOT had zero waits this past week! These included: Awesome Planet, American Adventure, Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, Impressions de France, and Reflections of China!

The rides in EPCOT that will book their Lighting Lanes up fast with Disney Genie+ or Individual Attraction Selection are usually Frozen Ever After, Test Track, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and now the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind coaster. So, try to either rope drop or book those first thing in the morning if you really want to ride them!
Hollywood Studios
Moving on to Hollywood Studios, Rise of the Resistance had the highest average wait time this week at 111 minutes.

After that, we had Tower of Terror at 104 minutes, Slinky Dog Dash at 80 minutes, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith at 61 minutes, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at 60 minutes, Toy Story Mania at 55 minutes, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at 54 minutes.
Ready to ROCK?!
And finally, we had Alien Swirling Saucers at 36 minutes, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue at 18 minutes, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy at 16 minutes, Walt Disney Presents at 11 minutes, and Muppet*Vision 3D at 10 minutes.
Alien Swirling Saucers
Tower of Terror has one of the highest wait times in Disney World right now because only two of the four elevators may be running at a specific period of time. If you want the best chance at a low wait time for the ride, you may want to try and rope drop Tower of Terror and get in line as soon as it opens. This works especially well if you have Early Morning Entry! Or, you can make sure to book a Tower of Terror Lightning Lane as soon as they open up at 7AM with Disney Genie+.
Tower of Terror
As for Rise of the Resistance, the same rules apply — but, since it’s not included in Disney Genie+, you can buy an individual Lightning Lane to get on the ride and skip the usually long line!
Animal Kingdom
Hopping over to Animal Kingdom, the ride with the longest average wait time this week was Avatar Flight of Passage at 87 minutes.
Flight of Passage
Then, we had Na’vi River Journey at 58 minutes, Kilimanjaro Safaris at 49 minutes, Kali River Rapids at 37 minutes, Expedition Everest at 28 minutes, and DINOSAUR at 19 minutes.
Expedition Everest
Following behind was It’s Tough to Be a Bug at 11 minutes, Triceratop Spin at 9 minutes, The Boneyard at 0 minutes, and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail at 0 minutes.
Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail
If you find yourself standing in long lines in Animal Kingdom (some of which are outside and can get pretty toasty!), you can pass the time by playing games on your phone like the ones on the Play Disney Parks Mobile App and stay cool with things like cooling towels, portable fans, and more.
That’s your look at the average wait times around Walt Disney World this week! Stay tuned to DFB more Disney news and updates.
