Disney+ Subscribers Should Pay Attention September 8th!

What is your favorite streaming platform, and why is the answer Disney+?

©Disney

Okay, maybe that’s not your answer, but you can’t deny that the platform has been wildly successful since it launched in 2019! Disney+ has been releasing (and announcing) countless original series based on franchises like Marvel and Star Wars, which may be the reason why the platform’s subscriber count has increased by 33% within the past year. Loki, Moon Knight, The Mandalorian, WandaVision — the success of these shows is worth celebrating…which is exactly why we’re excited to see Disney+ Day return!

Disney took to Twitter to announce that Disney+ Day will be returning on September 8th! It will lead into the D23 Expo.

Disney hasn’t announced much on what we can expect from this special day, however, we do know that we can expect a Disney+ Day premiere of the new Pinocchio film! The film presents the timeless classic in a live-action format, starring Tom Hanks, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Keegan Michael Key, and Cynthia Erivo!

We can also look to the past to get an idea of what we can expect this year! Here’s what was released on last year’s Disney+ Day:

  • Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (for free)
  • Jungle Cruise (for free)
  • Olaf Presents
  • The Making of Happier than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles
  • Marvel Assembled: The Making of Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings
  • Marvel Studios Legends: Hawkeye
  • Fan favorite shorts from Walt Disney Animation Studios including Frozen Fever, Oscar-winning shorts Feast and Paperman, Oscar-nominated Mickey Mouse short Get A Horse! and more
  • Ciao Alberto
  • A new short from The Simpsons that paid tribute to Disney+’s marquee brands
  • The first five episodes from season two of The World According to Jeff Goldblum from National Geographic
  • A special celebrating the origins and legacy of Star Wars’ legendary bounty hunter, Boba Fett
  • A special celebrating the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Disney+ with an exciting look towards the future
  • Dopesick

So mark your calendars, because Disney+ Day will likely bring a ton of premieres! And we’ll continue to keep our eyes peeled for more information on what the day holds, so stay tuned to DFB!

Caro-Seuss-el Finally Reopens with New Roof, Worn-Down Creatures at Universal’s Islands of Adventure

Caro-Seuss-el has reopened in Seuss Landing at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, having been closed since August of last year.

The wait time this morning was only five minutes.

Caro-Seuss-el has a Universal Express pass entrance.

It was surrounded by construction walls and scrim for the past several months.

The roof above Caro-Seuss-el was mostly demolished and replaced.

As such, the roof and some of the supports are freshly painted.

Despite the long closure, we could tell the creatures of the Caro-Seuss-el hadn’t been updated.

The eyes and ears are supposed to move on some of the beasts, but we didn’t see any movement on many.

The paint was also significantly worn away on some of the animals.

Are you excited to ride Caro-Seuss-el again? Let us know in the comments.
