Disney has released a sneak peek of some of the “Star Wars” merchandise that will be available at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim this weekend, including Celebration-exclusive and first-to-market items.

Some new merchandise is arriving at Disneyland Resort to coincide with Star Wars Celebration, including this Funko backpack, retro action figures, and new apparel.

Star Wars Celebration

Wherever your travels may take you throughout the galaxy, make sure you do so in style with the new Darth Vader Spinner 20” Luggage by American Tourister, debuting first at Star Wars Celebration and coming soon to retail.

Coming exclusively to the Star Wars Celebration store is the Three-Book Deluxe “Star Wars: The High Republic” Box Set from Del Rey, featuring author-signed copies of “Light of the Jedi,” “The Rising Storm,” and “The Fallen Star.” Each book features full-color interiors, deckled page edges, an oversized trim size, golden foil on the spines, and padded faux leather covers, hand-stamped with High Republic iconography. This Celebration exclusive is limited to 1000 units and is sure to make a statement on any archivist’s bookshelf.

Look out for the Star Wars x Citizen Star Wars Celebration Exclusive Watch Collection, featuring styles inspired by the X-wing, Darth Vader, and Yoda. If you’re a Disney fan planning a wedding, we bet you would probably like some form of Disney magic added to your special day!

Some people get married at Disney or theme their entire event to a certain movie, but we also know that a lot of people would rather just have a few subtle touches of Disney. So, let’s look at how you can subtly incorporate Disney into your wedding!

Music

The first way to add a little Disney flair into your big day is with music! Disney obviously has a HUGE catalogue of songs to choose from between their movies, shows, and in-park soundtracks. If you don’t want to use the regular version of the songs, you can usually find an instrumental version. Or, to make it even more wedding-esque, you can use the orchestra version of your favorite Disney song! There are a lot available online (like these right here!) or you can work with your live musicians to see what they can accommodate.

You can use this music as guests are arriving, during your ceremony, during your cocktail hour, or even at your reception! You could also have your first dance as a couple to your favorite Disney song, like “Beauty and the Beast” from Beauty and the Beast, “I See the Light from Tangled, or “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” from The Lion King.

You could also use Disney music for the Father of the Bride/Mother of the Groom dances. Some great options (that are sure to be tear-jerkers) include “You’ll Be in My Heart” from Tarzan or “When You Wish Upon a Star” from Pinocchio. If you don’t want the traditional or orchestral versions of Disney songs, you can also find covers from famous singers, like Rod Stewart’s When You Wish Upon a Star.

Decor

Ceremony

Of course, there are a TON of ways that you can incorporate Disney into your decor. But, before the ceremony even begins, you can always add some Disney to your wedding invitations or programs! We love these intricate castle ones.

During the ceremony, one way to add in some Disney is with a subtly themed altar. It wouldn’t be immediately obvious that it’s Disney-themed, but you could channel a lot of different fairytale vibes with your altar, like an enchanted forest! Bonus if you pick flowers that go along with the color scheme of your favorite Disney movie.

You can also use flowers throughout your ceremony that are shaped like Mickeys, from petal arrangements on the ground to arrangements at the end of the rows of seating!

A great way to add a touch of Disney to the ceremony is with the bouquets being carried down the aisle by the wedding party. You can incorporate little hidden Mickey charms into the bouquets…

Reception

During the reception, you can have even more fun with the decor! This all depends on your theme and how much Disney you want at your wedding, but we have some really fun ideas that can be incorporated or adjusted really easily to fit whatever you need. The first is to add some magical fairy lights!

These can be used on table displays, in centerpieces, and more. You can even stick them in jar centerpieces with a rose to imitate Beauty and the Beast, or get little fairy figures to pair with them to pay homage to Tinker Bell! A 20 pack of these battery-operated lights are $23.99.

Table markers or centerpieces are a great way to add in some Disney touches! Today’s the first day that reservations can be made for the return of Walt Disney World’s beloved Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue! Not only can we soon enjoy the return of this fan-favorite show, we’ve also been given new information today regarding updates made to the theater and the show itself.

While we knew that changes were coming for Hoop-Dee-Doo, it’s great to hear today that the updates include switching the stage lighting to LED and upgrading the audio system so that every note and joke is crystal clear for those in the audience. Changes have also been made to the script and scenery.

Pioneer Hall at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will once again host the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue beginning June 23rd, 2022.

A fan-favorite experience at a Disney World hotel just recently announced that it would finally be coming back after it closed when the COVID-19 pandemic began. That’s right, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is almost back and ready to entertain!

Disney recently released pricing information and showtimes (because this isn’t just a meal, it’s a WHOLE experience), and now, reservations are open!

Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue is a dinner show at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds. There are buckets (yes, literal buckets) of comfort food like fried chicken and ribs for the whole family to enjoy (and yes, strawberry shortcake is involved!).

Reservations opened today for shows beginning on June 23rd, but we encountered some technical problems when the reservation site finally opened! When we went to book a reservation for June 23rd, we were told that the system was unable to check for available tables.

We were finally able to make a reservation but be aware of potential glitches if you’re planning to book this experience! As a reminder, reservations are only available for Disney World dining 60 days in advance, so keep that in mind, as well.

Also, unique to Hoop-Dee-Doo is the requirement of pre-payment when you make your reservation. So, you’ll need to have a credit card ready when you make the reservation to pay for the meal in advance.

Shows will begin again on June 23rd, 2022, and to book your reservation, you can head over to Disney World’s website, or book it through your My Disney Experience app. We will be there reviewing the entire experience, so follow our newsletter for all of the details!
