The 4th of July can be a magical time to visit Disney World, but it can also be an incredibly busy time.
Patriotic Pluto Photo Op on Independence Day
For the first time since 2019, the 4th of July fireworks are coming BACK to Magic Kingdom, and park reservations are filling up FAST. If you were hoping to catch these patriotic fireworks this year, we have news for you.
Disney World’s special fireworks show, “Disney’s Celebrate America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky,” will take place on July 3rd and July 4th at 9:20PM ONLY in Magic Kingdom. As you’ve probably guessed, this makes July 4th a popular day to visit Magic Kingdom.

As of today, Magic Kingdom is fully booked for July 4th for theme park ticket holders. You can still book EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but you cannot book Magic Kingdom for July 4th at this time.

If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, July 4th reservations are also fully booked for Magic Kingdom. Now keep in mind — there IS a showing of the July 4th fireworks on July 3rd too, and Magic Kingdom is still open for July 3rd park reservations for theme park ticket holders AND Disney World hotel guests.

It’s possible that Disney World could add more park reservations to the calendar for July 4th but it’s not necessarily something you want to assume will definitely happen. Still, it’s not a bad idea to check Disney World’s park reservation calendar every day if you have your heart set on those July 4th Magic Kingdom park passes.
Fireworks in Magic Kingdom
If you’re thinking about Park Hopping, July 4th is one of those dates that frequently hits capacity in Magic Kingdom, so it might not be a realistic possibility since Park Hopping is only allowed after 2PM. However, Disney buses typically begin park-to-park transportation around 1:30PM, and this is one of those dates that you’d want to plan out as early as possible. You can also call (407) 560-5000 to find out which parks are at capacity BEFORE Park Hopping.

A new merchandise collection inspired by Sleeping Beauty Castle is coming soon to Disneyland Paris as part of its ongoing 30th anniversary celebration.
The collection will include a Spirit Jersey, Minnie ear headband, and Loungefly mini backpack. The jersey is dark blue, with a burst of colors at the center and the silhouette of a Disney castle. The ear headband and Loungefly mini backpack are both covered in pink-purple sequins.

Did you know that there’s a National Churro Day? Yes, we’re serious!
Churros and Disney just make sense.
June 6th is National Churro Day — it’s coming up soon, so you better get ready! We’ve definitely had our fair share of churros in both Disney World and Disneyland. Some we adored, and some…well, not so much. So, we were THRILLED to be able to try some of Disney’s new churro flavors and tell you all about them, so that YOU can vote for which one you want to try!
Disney is asking guests for help deciding which new churro flavors should be added to the menus at California Churro in Downtown Disney and at Sunshine Churros in Disney Springs. We were invited to try the prospective new flavors for Disney World, so let’s get into it!
The three churro options for Disney World are the Double Chocolate Churro, the Golden Dragon Churro, and the Peanut Butter Lovers Churro.

First up, we tried the Double Chocolate Churro! This churro is rolled in chocolate sugar coating and drizzled with milk chocolate sauce.
This one is for chocolate lovers!
This churro is very rich and decadent from that double chocolate! The sugar coating is super tasty.

The milk chocolate sauce is very sweet and adds even more chocolate to the equation, which we will never complain about! This churro is pretty straightforward and tastes like a classic dessert.

Next, we got to try the Golden Dragon Churro. The general manager of Sunshine Churros actually put his personal touch on this churro, which is a twist of a Blue Ribbon Corn Dog! The churro is rolled in Panko crumbs with a sriracha mayo drizzled over the top.

Have you ever had a savory churro? This one has the perfect amount of sweetness still from the actual churro, but leans more to the savory side!

The sriracha mayo has more of a smoky heat to it and wasn’t very spicy to us at all. It was actually a very unique flavor combination that we really enjoyed!
Mayo on a churro is better than it sounds!
Finally, we tried the Peanut Butter Lovers Churro, which is inspired by the California Churro’s Halfway to Halloween offering. This churro is rolled in cinnamon sugar, drizzled with milk chocolate and peanut butter sauce, and topped with peanut butter candy pieces. Are you drooling yet?

This one was definitely the most indulgent churro out of the three we tried. The peanut butter is delicious and not too overwhelming when it comes to flavor.

We think kids and peanut butter lovers will really enjoy this one, but do be aware that it’s VERY sweet! It’s an explosion of sugar in the best way.

We really enjoyed all three of these churros and think any of them would be a great addition to the menu! The winning churro will be at both locations of Sunshine Churros in Disney Springs from June 6th through June 12th. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opens to the public on May 27, and we now know that the merchandise for the newest ride at EPCOT will debut in Creations Shop.
Most of the merchandise will also be offered at the Treasures of Xandar exit gift shop when it opens later in the day. However, dated opening merchandise will only be in the Creations Shop.
Due to a limited quantity of merchandise, Disney will enforce purchase limits of two per item per person. This rule is regularly in place around the resort, especially for new collection debuts and limited edition items.

Disney has been no stranger to public battles lately.

From the situation with Florida’s Parental Rights in Education bill (what critics called the “Don’t Say Gay” bill) and the resulting response from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, to the repeal of the Reedy Creek Improvement District, threats made against copyright law that protects some of the Company’s key characters, and calls for a repeal of Disney’s no-fly zones — Disney’s name has seldom escaped the news recently. And now it seems Disney’s corporate reputation has taken a hit.
We already took a look at a poll investigating whether the public prefers Disney or Governor Ron DeSantis (those results might surprise you), but now we’re looking at another set of survey data — this time from the Axios Harris Poll 100.
This poll is based off a survey that included 33,096 Americans in a “nationally representative sample.” They start this process each year by surveying the public’s awareness of certain companies that “either excel or falter in society.”
The 100 “most visible companies” are then rated by another group of Americans across various dimension of reputation. This is then all compiled to create a ranking of those companies essentially based on their corporate reputation based on the survey/poll results.
Magic Kingdom
Among the companies that were within the group of the 100 most visible were Trader Joe’s, Amazon.com, Tesla Motors, Apple, Netflix, Costco, TikTok, Disney, and more. At the top of 2022’s list in terms of corporate reputation, with a score of 82.4 was Trader Joe’s. At the bottom of the list, with a score of 54.5 was The Trump Organization.
So what about The Walt Disney Company? For the 2022 poll, Disney had a score of 73.4 and ranked 65th on the list. This is actually a DROP of 28 spots compared to its position last year.

It was actually included on the list of the fastest droppers for 2022, just below Spectrum and Pfizer. Based on its color code, Disney falls in the green or “good” category. There are 2 categories above that — very good and excellent.

Compared to other companies in the Media category, Disney was below Spotify in rankings, but above Comcast and the Fox Corporation.

In terms of the individual category scores, Disney’s lowest scores were in Trust (59.6); Ethics (60.8); and Citizenship (61.2). Its highest score was a 69.5 in Growth, followed by 68.6 in Vision.

Compared to Trader Joe’s (which, again, was in the #1 spot), you can see the dramatic difference in those scores.

Of course, this is the result of just this poll, but it is interesting to see a snapshot of what thousands of Americans feel about the Disney Company on these topics, as opposed to other companies.
We’re constantly watching for updates about the Walt Disney Company, it’s reputation with the public, and what changes could be on the horizon.
