We love a LOT of stuff at Disney World!
From the rides to the food to the characters, there’s so much to love about the parks! However, there’s one thing that’s consistent at Disney World that we don’t love: the crowds. Disney World is insanely popular, and because of this, we end up seeing some pretty big crowds and long lines. Let’s take a look at what the crowds are like in Disney World right now!
Disney World has a pretty big week coming up! Memorial Day weekend is right around the corner, and many schools are out for summer, so we can expect to see a lot of people in the parks taking advantage of their vacations! EPCOT also has an all-new ride opening to the public next week, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, so we can expect to see a ton of people in EPCOT waiting to get on the new ride!
Let’s take a look at what the crowds were like the weekend before Disney World’s upcoming wave of crowds!
Magic Kingdom Crowds
Magic Kingdom was pretty crowded this weekend! Over in Adventureland, we also saw some heavy crowds. This land can get pretty cramped (especially with people trying to get Dole Whip from Aloha Isle), so it’s not hard to feel squeezed in.
Sunshine Tree Terrace was generating a bit of a crowd as well!
If this is what crowds are looking like a week before all of these huge events, you better buckle down for some severe traffic next weekend!
There was still enough room to walk around, but there were people as far as the eye could see in Magic Kingdom!
Over in Tomorrowland, we were also seeing some congestion, with the line for the PeopleMover looking pretty packed!
Even the quieter parts of the park like locker and wheelchair rental were swarming with folks!
Magic Kingdom wasn’t the only park to get some sizable crowds this weekend!

EPCOT Crowds
You know crowds are bad when Gran Fiesta Tour has a long line. This ride normally has a pretty minimal line, so seeing it this far out of the normal queue is not a good sign!
The front entrance of the park was quite busy when we arrived this morning!

Let’s look at things over in Animal Kingdom!
How to Not Be Miserable in Disney World This Summer
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Crowds
The line for Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom was also extended pretty far past the ride entrance as well! We noticed pretty heavy crowds throughout this spacious park. Even though Disney World didn’t have much of a slow season this year, you can tell crowds are picking up even more.
The crowds in Pandora may not be our favorite, but the vibes are immaculate.
