The exterior of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is being refurbished and repainted. The Cozy Cone Pool reopened a month ago, and now refurbishment of the “Cars” area seems to be complete.
Construction materials have been removed and guests can once again enjoy the scenery of Radiator Springs.
Characters from “Cars” appear throughout this area.
Meanwhile, in the “Finding Nemo” section, the repainting of Squirt’s Righteous Reef is done and the playground has reopened.
This playground has slides moving in and out of a coral structure, with Squirt swimming on top.
Additionally, painting has begun on Squirt’s dad, Crush.
The area around Crush is blocked with green plastic fencing.
We could see some splotches on his fins.
Signs around Crush let guests know the area is being refurbished.
In addition, Mr. Ray is looking freshly repainted.
A staircase on building four has been blocked off while crews repaint the building.
We could see a crew member on the staircase.
White crack-like lines can be seen up and down the wall.
In “The Lion King” section, crews are working on the exterior of building six.
Likewise, in the “Finding Nemo” area, there are white lines on the building where crews are painting.
We saw a crew member working in a cherry picker vehicle.
Additionally, two other cherry pickers were parked next to the building but no crew members were in them when we visited.
At the building’s entrance, scaffolding with green scrim is set up, but the doors are not blocked off.
