Ever been walking down Main Street, U.S.A., and just suddenly had the urge to get your hair cut?

For the last couple of years, you would’ve been out of luck in that situation. But before the 2020 closures, Magic Kingdom had a fully operational barbershop on Main Street, U.S.A., complete with a variety of haircut services. This shop didn’t return when the parks reopened, but now we finally know when the Harmony Barber Shop will reopen in Disney World!

Disney has announced that the Harmony Barber Shop in Magic Kingdom will reopen on July 31st, 2022! Starting then, you can head in for a Child’s Haircut, an Adult Haircut, or “My First Haircut” (a special service for toddler-aged kids).

The “My First Haircut” experience will be extra special now, too! Stylists will have magic and extra special pixie dust for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration. We can’t wait to see what it is!

Walk-in appointments will be accepted based on availability, so Disney recommends making advanced reservations for any of the services to ensure the barbershop will be able to accommodate you at the time you’re hoping to visit. A limited number of reservations will be bookable in the My Disney Experience app beginning June 28th.

Previously, the cost of getting a haircut here was $18 plus tax for kids and $19 plus tax for adults. The “My First Haircut” experience was $25, and it included a commemorative Mickey hat, a keepsake lock of hair, and an official milestone certificate. Disney hasn’t confirmed yet that these will be the prices when Harmony Barber Shop reopens, so we’ll keep an eye out for updates about the cost.
