Disney World has been appreciating moms all week long but the celebrations get EVEN BETTER on Mother’s Day!

And, one of the best ways to treat moms? FOOD! (In our humble opinion at least.) And, Disney has A LOT of it! We’ve tried everything from ROSE-SCENTED cupcake, a dessert trio, a donut LOADED with frosting, and more. And, it turns out that the GORGEOUS flowery cupcake in EPCOT isn’t the only treat that is exclusive to today!
When it comes to snacks that also double as works of art, Le Petit Cafe at Disney’s Riviera Resort knows what it’s doing. The cafe always comes up with some exquisite treats for special occasions and today, we headed over there to see the Mother’s Day offering — the Mini-Dessert Chocolate Box for Mom.

Yes, that’s right, it’s a box — made out of chocolate (!!) — with even MORE sweet treats tucked inside! We’d call that a BIG bonus!

Inside, you’ll find a ganache brownie, raspberry macaron, and lemon madeleines.

Though, 
one word of warning — DO NOT take this out in the hot Florida sun because it WILL melt. We made the fatal mistake and paid the price.

But, hey, sticky hands ain’t gunna stop us from devouring chocolate, so let’s get to the taste!
We’re just going to say up front that everything inside the box was GREAT (as they usually are from Le Petit Cafe). First up is the Ganache Brownie. This is a very decadent, rich dessert and it’s SO fudgy (which we totally loved!).

Next up was the Raspberry Macaron, which we thought was very sweet and almost reminded us of Cotton Candy. The tartness of the raspberry flavor, though, added a nice brightness to the overall flavor.

Finally, we tasted the Lemon Madeleines. Yes, these are a simple treat for such a decadent little box, but when they’re made well, they’re wonderful. And, these were made PERFECT with a nice crust on the outside and a moist cake on the inside with just a hint of lemon flavor.

Overall, this little chocolate box offers up a variety of different flavors for $12 that is sure to be a crowd-pleaser, even if you have to share (which us moms are used to doing!). But, here’s the catch — this treat is only available TODAY, so you’re going to have to factor in a detour during your park day to give it a try.
