Something new is cooking up in EPCOT!

No, we’re not talking about Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (although we’re extremely excited for its official opening on May 27th). We’re talking about the Pepperoni Pizza Roll at Sunshine Seasons! We’ve seen Pepperoni Pizza Egg Rolls over at Disney California Adventure in the past as well as Pepperoni Pizza Spring Rolls in Magic Kingdom (both of which we really enjoyed), so of course we had to try this new pizza-inspired item! And spoiler alert: This is PERFECT for pizza lovers!

Sunshine Seasons just added a Pepperoni Pizza Roll to their menu! It comes with a side of pasta salad and costs $10.99. And you guys — this thing is massive.

We gave this roll a try, and wow! The breading was chewy with a touch of garlic, the mozzarella cheese was nicely melted, and the pepperoni had the perfect amount of spice to it. This is a great variation of pepperoni pizza. In fact, it’s basically a folded-up slice of pizza!

The pasta salad didn’t disappoint either. The elbow pasta was smothered in Italian dressing with a light touch of mayonnaise, and it also had onions, cucumbers, and green and red peppers. It’s served cold in a cup. We liked how the pasta was cooked, but some may find it to be over-cooked. It just depends on your preference. But if you aren’t interested in the pasta salad, you can choose a bag of chips instead.

Overall, some may find the Pepperoni Pizza Roll to be too greasy, but we didn’t mind it. And while we enjoyed the pasta salad, we could see others having an issue with how it’s cooked (but remember you can replace it with chips!). With that being said, we really liked this new offering and think it’s a pretty good value for the price!

So if you like pizza, this is a great option! And it’s good for everyone in the family, as it comes in adult and kid portions. We’ll continue to review the newest foods hitting the parks, so stay tuned to DFB.
