Even though May the 4th has come and gone, the fourth will be with you, always. And at Disneyland, the celebration of Star Wars continues with a new dessert at Galactic Grill!
Parfait of Mustafar — $6.99
Chocolate Lava Cake, Chocolate Ganache, Red Pâte à Choux filled with Salted Caramel Pudding, and Red Chocolate Mousse
The cracked red surface resembles the lava surface of the planet Mustafar, where Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi have their dramatic duel in “Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.”
This is so decadent and rich that it’s positively divine. Our first impression was, “Wow, that’s small!” But because it’s so rich, it turns out it’s just the right size.
It smells so good because of the chocolate lava cake on top.
The next layer is red-colored white chocolate mousse inside the pâte à choux. It tastes like a cream puff with pieces of chocolate cake on top. Yum! Even with all that, it gets better.
Under that soft pastry is salted caramel pudding. It’s reminiscent of sticky toffee pudding with a dense, almost fudge-like consistency.
The lava pastry is removable from the pudding on the bottom. Overall, this dessert is “the chosen one!”
