REVIEW: We Tried 3 NEW Churros — But Only ONE Can Come to Disney World!

Churros and Disney just make sense.

June 6th is National Churro Day — it’s coming up soon, so you better get ready! We’ve definitely had our fair share of churros in both Disney World and Disneyland. Some we adored, and some…well, not so much. So, we were THRILLED to be able to try some of Disney’s new churro flavors and tell you all about them, so that YOU can vote for which one you want to try!

Disney is asking guests for help deciding which new churro flavors should be added to the menus at California Churro in Downtown Disney and at Sunshine Churros in Disney Springs. We were invited to try the prospective new flavors for Disney World, so let’s get into it!

The three churro options for Disney World are the Double Chocolate Churro, the Golden Dragon Churro, and the Peanut Butter Lovers Churro.

First up, we tried the Double Chocolate Churro! This churro is rolled in chocolate sugar coating and drizzled with milk chocolate sauce.

This one is for chocolate lovers!

This churro is very rich and decadent from that double chocolate! The sugar coating is super tasty.

The milk chocolate sauce is very sweet and adds even more chocolate to the equation, which we will never complain about! This churro is pretty straightforward and tastes like a classic dessert.

Next, we got to try the Golden Dragon Churro. The general manager of Sunshine Churros actually put his personal touch on this churro, which is a twist of a Blue Ribbon Corn Dog! The churro is rolled in Panko crumbs with a sriracha mayo drizzled over the top.

Have you ever had a savory churro? This one has the perfect amount of sweetness still from the actual churro, but leans more to the savory side!

The sriracha mayo has more of a smoky heat to it and wasn’t very spicy to us at all. It was actually a very unique flavor combination that we really enjoyed!

Finally, we tried the Peanut Butter Lovers Churro, which is inspired by the California Churro’s Halfway to Halloween offering. This churro is rolled in cinnamon sugar, drizzled with milk chocolate and peanut butter sauce, and topped with peanut butter candy pieces. Are you drooling yet?

This one was definitely the most indulgent churro out of the three we tried. The peanut butter is delicious and not too overwhelming when it comes to flavor.

We think kids and peanut butter lovers will really enjoy this one, but do be aware that it’s VERY sweet! It’s an explosion of sugar in the best way.

We really enjoyed all three of these churros and think any of them would be a great addition to the menu! The winning churro will be at both locations of Sunshine Churros in Disney Springs from June 6th through June 12th. So, make sure you vote for the one you want to try the most, because that’s the only one that will be available!
