Magic Kingdom
- While construction continues on TRON Lightcycle / Run, construction has also begun on the side of Tomorrowland Light & Power Co., which guests will walk past to reach the attraction.
EPCOT
- “Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360” will be closed from June 27 onward, likely for the 2022 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
- Outside Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, trusses with mounted lights and speakers now surround the stage.
- Two of the water mist machines removed last week have been returned to the World Discovery neighborhood in EPCOT.
- More disability representation has been added to Creations Shop in EPCOT with a mannequin now in a wheelchair.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- A new souvenir cup featuring the logos of Bubo Wamba Family Farms is coming to the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge milk stand.
Disney Springs
- The Meta Quest virtual reality experience featuring ILMxLAB’s “Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge” has opened at the old site of NBA Experience in Disney Springs.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- The surfboard sign for Disney’s Spirit of Aloha dinner show has been removed amidst demolition of the building at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
New Merchandise
- More Orange Bird Vault Collection merchandise has arrived at Walt Disney World! We found a cute new “Florida Welcomes You to Walt Disney World” tee and a button-up shirt.
- The new “Ratatouille” Dooney & Bourke collection is now available at Walt Disney World.
- Both sides of Disney’s Port Orleans Resort had new merchandise: The ornament, hat, and Corkcicle bottle were in Jackson Square at French Quarter, while the Tervis tumbler was in Fulton’s at Riverside.
- More “tencennial” apparel has appeared at Walt Disney World as part of the 50th anniversary Vault Collection.
- Another new building ornament has arrived at Walt Disney World, this one is inspired by the entrance to Peter Pan’s Flight at Magic Kingdom.
- Get nostalgic for Mickey’s Birthdayland with a new T-shirt available at Walt Disney World.
- Another white 50th anniversary Luxe Logo tee has arrived at Walt Disney World. This one has buttons along the shoulder.
Other Walt Disney World News
- Check out all of the “Star Wars” treats coming this week to Walt Disney World for May the 4th.
- CNN correspondent Natasha Chen shared that Governor Ron DeSantis may establish a new special district run by his own appointees to oversee Walt Disney World Resort property after Reedy Creek Improvement District is dissolved.
- Guests will have more time to enjoy the Walt Disney World theme parks between May 15 and May 21, 2022, as hours have been extended.
Disneyland Resort
- Disneyland Resort has released a full guide to all the special “Star Wars” treats that will be available in the coming days for May the 4th.
- A new souvenir cup featuring the logos of Bubo Wamba Family Farms is coming to the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge milk stand.
- More Main Street Electrical Parade merchandise has arrived at Disneyland Resort. We found the Loungefly mini backpack in the Emporium and the light-up sign in Disney Showcase.
- The GCH Holiday Cart at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel has some new “Star Wars” treats to celebrate May the 4th.
- As the refurbishment of New Orleans Square in Disneyland Park continues, an entire street is now blocked off.
- A glow straw topper inspired by the dapper turtle of the Main Street Electrical Parade has returned to Disneyland Park, having first been available years ago.
- New smaller trees have been planted outside Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland Park, which is still closed for refurbishment.
- We’re getting closer to the D23 Expo and one of the reported announcements for Disneyland Resort is an overhaul of Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park.
- Mobile checkout is now available at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland.
- A new flavor of Sweet Spiral Ration (a.k.a. churro) is now available at Terran Treats in Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure.
Entertainment and Media
- Several works of art, including one featuring Batuu from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, have been revealed for the Star Wars Celebration Art Show, a returning tradition to this year’s Anaheim celebration.
Disney+
- The season finale of “Moon Knight” debuts on Disney+ this Wednesday, May 4. A new trailer, titled “Rise,” has been released.
The Walt Disney Company
- Texas Congressman Troy E. Nehls has begun a campaign to revoke the “No-fly Zones” over Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
