The Spirit of Aloha dinner show has permanently closed at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and the building is now being demolished to make way for a new Disney Vacation Club wing.

From the Monorail, we could see exposed steel where the thatched roof used to be.

On the ground, we got a look at the front of the building. Sure enough, the thatched roof has been entirely removed. The show’s surfboard sign was gone a few weeks ago.

On the road, construction materials were staged nearby.

There were piles of pipes.

We could see some crew members through the trees.
