Magic Kingdom
- For months, Tomorrowland has been the center of a lot of construction work at the Magic Kingdom, and today is no exception. Let’s see what’s new!
- We recently noticed that Tony’s Town Square Restaurant had quietly undergone some menu changes, most notably removing the 50th anniversary items and pizza and adding a few dishes. We stopped by today to try out the new offerings.
- Despite MagicBand+ not being officially released yet (except for an accidental early leak), the slow rollout of effects for the Fab 50 character statues has begun around Walt Disney World, with our latest look coming from the Magic Kingdom.
EPCOT
- Just a day after it was teased in new concept art, Imagineer Zach Riddley has confirmed in an Instagram post that light-up pavement will indeed be returning to EPCOT.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Clips from “Encanto” and “Raya and the Last Dragon” have been added to the “Wonderful World of Animation” nighttime spectacular at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Kevin from “Up” is once again roaming Disney’s Animal Kingdom, after returning in January for a stationary “sighting.”
- Love it or hate it (or duck from it), if you’ve been wanting to catch a performance of Disney KiteTails at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, May 26 is your last chance to plan for it.
- In addition to the news that the new version of Disney KiteTails will premiere on May 27, the parking lot trams are finally set to return to Disney’s Animal Kingdom that same day.
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas — Kidani Village will experience refurbishment work through October 2022.
- The Mother’s Day Mimosa Cake has returned to Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
- BoardWalk Bakery at Disney’s BoardWalk is getting in on the fun with a new cupcake themed to Mrs. Jumbo and her child, Dumbo.
New Merchandise
- Guests can now cosplay or DisneyBound America Chavez, who will make her first MCU appearance in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” with this jean jacket available at Walt Disney World.
- Last week, we found new Orange Bird-inspired jellies candy at Walt Disney World. This week, we found another bag of Orange Bird candies.
Other Walt Disney World News
- As the summer crowds begin to roll into Walt Disney World, there’ll be more time to play at all four theme parks in late May!
Disneyland Resort
- With “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” finally hitting movie screens, new experiences and merchandise themed to the Marvel Studios film are coming to Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure.
- In The Walt Disney Company’s efforts to promote diverse stories, a new display at the Opera House in Disneyland honors American hero Frederick Douglass.
- In celebration of the release of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” visitors to the Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure can now pick up an Eye of Agamotto sipper from Shawarma Palace.
- New “Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness” Spider-Bots and a WEB attachment have debuted at Disney California Adventure.
- As we reported previously, guests can now enjoy a character meeting with Scarlet Witch in Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure.
- We also stopped by to meet America Chavez in Avengers Campus.
- Rose gold is back in a very cute way at the Disneyland Resort with a new sequined Minnie ear headband!
- Greetings from Disneyland! The retheming of the former Tarzan’s Treehouse continues to move forward, with some significant changes in the past few days. Let’s take a look!
- Even though May the 4th has come and gone, the fourth will be with you, always. And at Disneyland, the celebration of Star Wars continues with a new dessert at Galactic Grill!
