In an interview with E! News, Zac Efron said “of course” he would be interested in doing another “High School Musical” film.

In the video, he is asked “Would Zac Efron be interested in a High School Musical reboot?”

Efron says, “Having the opportunity to, in any form, go back and work with that team would be so amazing. Yeah, my heart’s still there, so. That would be incredible. I hope it happens.”

Efron starred as Troy Bolton in the three “High School Musical” films. The franchise launched a spin-off film starring Ashley Tisdale called “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure.” A pilot for a spin-off series was filmed in 2011 but never aired. In 2019, “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” a series inspired by the films, premiered.

While a “High School Musical 4” was hinted at in 2016, it never came to fruition.
