4 Tips for Conquering the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival

It’s almost Food and Wine Festival season!

We’re officially just 30 days away from the 2022 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival at Disney World — it runs July 14th through November 19th, 2022. Here at DFB, we’re BIG fans of this festival — and we love going every year and trying everything to bring you reviews, hidden gems, and more!

1. Grab a gift card to stay on budget.

If you’re like us, you’ll want to try everything when you visit the Food & Wine Festival, and it becomes very easy to spend more than you meant to! You can have a GREAT time whether you can just taste a few things or you have a sky’s-the-limit budget, though.

An easy way to keep track of your spending is to put your budgeted amount on a Disney Gift Card at the beginning of the day. Disney World even stocks gift cards on wrist bands just for this purpose!

2. Get your “must-haves” early in the day.

While we want to try all kinds of festival food and drink, there are always a couple of items that are at the TOP of our priority list.

Festival favorites can sell out for the day.

While the Food & Wine Festival booths are usually open until park close, things DO sell out for the day. And with supply chain issues still plaguing Disney World, we expect that sell-outs could happen more frequently than in previous years. So be sure to try your top items early in the day to minimize the risk of missing them altogether.

3. Don’t make dining reservations.

We know, we know. We are frequently telling you to plan ahead and make dining reservations as soon as you possibly can. And EPCOT is such a great park for foodies — with SO MANY great table-service restaurants.

Your festival day may not be the best time to also try Space 220.

BUT, your festival touring day is just not a day that we suggest you plan for a big meal. Forgoing a dining reservation will leave you with more time, more money — and more room in your stomach — to sample the festival goodies you can’t get every day of the year.
