Happy Father’s Day! Did you know that Disney World celebrates the day with LOADS of special snacks?

Well, it does — so in addition to all the Lightyear snacks and all the Pride snacks, we’re trying to dig into some of Father’s Day snacks! It’s…a LOT. Some of these treats are a lot, too — we just recently tried a chocolate tart topped with potato chips, bacon, snickers, M&Ms, and more! NOW, we’re back with another over-the-top treat for dad.

Okay, take a breath, because we’re trying something called Father’s Day Bacon Whiskey Caramel Brownie (say that three times fast!). It’s a Brownie topped with Bacon, Whiskey-Caramel, Dark Chocolate Ganache, and Milk Chocolate-whipped Panna Cotta. Whew, Disney just threw the kitchen sink at another snack, right?

So we expected a lot — maybe TOO much — when we finally dove into it. But you know what? This brownie surprised us! The texture of the brownie is a good blend of cakey and fudgy. The bacon and caramel add a nice sweet and salty balance, especially considering the chocolate ganache is SO rich.

We’re going on record as saying this is one of our favorite brownies we’ve had at Disney World (or maybe that’s just the whiskey in the caramel sauce talking). It’s also VERY rich and a good size for $5.49 — it’s easily shareable! It’s certainly the kind of snack that chocoholics like us dream of.

Our ONLY complaint is we felt the chocolate ganache was TOO much — it’s already a rich treat and it doesn’t need any additional richness. If you want to try it for yourself, it’s available through today at Contempo Cafe at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

If you can’t get to Disney World in time to try this snack, we can recommend a few other tasty brownies that are regularly available at the resort. In EPCOT, we can recommend the Turtle Brownie at Sunshine Seasons — it’s SO good. There’s also the Brownie Pie from Main Street Confectionery in Magic Kingdom.

If it’s peanut butter AND chocolate you’re after, may we recommend the Nyala Brownie from The Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge? We LOVE it!
